Ông Flynn bị cáo buộc đã tự ý có cuộc điện đàm với đại sứ Nga Kislyak sau khi ông Donald Trump đắc cử tổng thống Mỹ. Các cơ quan tình báo Mỹ đã phát hiện cuộc điện đàm này, trong đó có nội dung hai ông bàn về khả năng Mỹ sẽ dỡ bỏ trừng phạt cho Nga.

Nói dối FBI là một trọng tội, tờ The Washington Post cho biết. Quyết định có hay không truy tố ông Flynn giờ nằm trong tay Bộ Tư pháp Mỹ.

Ông Flynn đã từ chức ngày 13-2. Kênh truyền hình CNN dẫn nguồn một số quan chức FBI cho biết FBI sẽ không theo đuổi truy tố ông Flynn nếu không có tình tiết mới nghiêm trọng xuất hiện. Không chỉ FBI, ông Flynn còn nói dối Phó Tổng thống Mike Pence rằng mình không nói chuyện dỡ bỏ trừng phạt với Nga. Ông Mike Pence từ sau khi vụ bê bối của ông Flynn được công bố đến nay vẫn chưa đưa ra bình luận chính thức về việc mình bị nói dối.

I can smell an impeachment pod brewing miles away now. Let's see how he'd weather this out this time.

But again, if he could manage to keep his tax returns unreleased to the public thus far, then he would be able to keep those transcripts from leaking out, I guess.

The true color of the orange duck might not be unveiled now. But I believe it's just a matter of time the American people in the near future will see how a fraud and scammer he is.

He might be great of something (business-man, or real estate tycoon maybe?), but he is just unfit to be the President of the United States of America.
