Facebook đă đ́nh chỉ tài khoản của chính trị gia Ukraine Andrii Derkach, người bị chính phủ Mỹ cáo buộc là điệp viên Nga và cố gắng can thiệp vào cuộc bầu cử tổng thống.
“Chúng tôi đă xóa tài khoản này này do vi phạm chính sách của chúng tôi đối với việc những người tham gia vào các hoạt động ảnh hưởng tập trung vào bầu cử sử dụng nền tảng của chúng tôi”, Facebook cho biết trong một tuyên bố hôm thứ Hai.
Derkach, một thành viên của Quốc hội Ukraine, đă làm việc với luật sư riêng của Tổng thống Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani để cố gắng thu thập thông tin gây hại về ứng cử viên tổng thống của đảng Dân chủ Joe Biden và con trai của ông là Hunter.
Facebook has suspended the account of the Ukrainian politician Andrii Derkach, who has been accused by the U.S. government of being a Russian agent and trying to meddle in the presidential election.
“We removed this account and this Page for violating our policy against the use of our platform by people engaged in election-focused influence operations,” Facebook said in a statement Monday.
Derkach, a member of the Ukrainian parliament, has been working with President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani to try to gather derogatory information about Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
Since the 2016 election, Facebook and other tech companies have stepped up their efforts to try to prevent election meddling, especially by foreign agents. The suspension of Derkach’s account was first reported by The Daily Beast.
