Tính đến ngày 24/4, nước Mỹ ghi nhận hơn 585.000 người chết và hơn 32 triệu ca nhiễm COVID-19. Riêng số ca nhiễm của Mỹ cao gấp đôi so với số ca của nước đứng thứ 2, vốn đang phải gồng ḿnh chống dịch là Ấn Độ. Mỹ hiện ghi nhận thêm gần 62.000 ca nhiễm mới mỗi ngày.
