Ngày 25/9, một tàu chở hàng của Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ và một tàu chở hàng của Nga đă va chạm tại Eo biển Bosphorus ở Istanbul.
Đài truyền h́nh NTV đưa tin vụ việc đă gây hư hại nhẹ cho hai con tàu và hiện chưa có báo cáo về thiệt hại về người. Lực lượng chức năng đă điều một số tàu cứu hộ đến hiện trường. Tuy nhiên, hoạt động giao thông ở Eo biển Bosphorus dài 30 km - một trong những tuyến đường biển nhộn nhịp nhất thế giới nối Biển Đen và Biển Marmara - đă tạm thời bị gián đoạn do vụ tai nạn này.
Tổng cục An toàn bờ biển Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ cho biết tàu Nga mang tên Rusich 10 và tàu Thổ Nhĩ Kỳ Tahsin Imamoglu đang quá cảnh eo biển này theo cùng một hướng, đi về phía Biển Đen. Theo tin tức báo chí, hai tàu này đă được lai dắt đến khu vực an toàn và thả neo. Hiện chưa rơ nguyên nhân tai nạn.
