Nhớ làm sao những ngày tháng đau buồn
Vừa ngậm ngùi sao đất nước đau thương
Lời ru mãi xin hỏi người ở lại
Quốc gia ơi bao giờ tìm lại được
Rớt vào tay cho những kẻ cộng nô
Hãy đứng lên cho dân mình sự sống
Đừng cúi đầu vâng dạ bọn công nô
Tháng tư rồi ba mươi lại nhắc đến
Thắp nén nhang cho anh hùng tử sĩ
Vị quốc vong thân cho tổ quốc này

Hỏi vì sao lại phải đến chia lìa
người ở tù người đi kinh tế mới
Ôi trái tim đất nước còn đâu nữa
Để buồn lòng cho kẻ đã tha phương
Xin nói khẽ cho những người tuổi trẻ
Hãy vùng lên đừng để nó đè đầu
