Xe điện sẽ rẻ hơn

Xu hướng phát triển những dòng xe điện giá rẻ sẽ là mục tiêu mà các hãng sản xuất xe hơi hướng đến trong 10 năm tới.

Hiện tại, giá pin tính trung bình đang là 500-700 USD mỗi kWh nhưng theo Jon Bereisa, giám đốc bộ phận điện ở tạp chí Automotive News, trong 10 năm tới mức giá này có thể giảm xuống còn 350 USD. Ông cũng nói thêm pin trong tương lai sẽ nhọ gọn và nhẹ hơn.

Bereisa nhận định so với cộng nghệ pin lithium - ion hiện tại, công nghệ pin tương lai sẽ có dung lượng tăng gấp 2-4 lần, kết quả quãng đường vận hành dài hơn cho một lần nạp. Sẽ có nhưng loại pin nhỏ hơn, dải lựa chọn rộng khi nó sử dụng trên xe.

Ông Nancy Gioia - giám đốc điện khí hóa toàn cầu của Ford, cho rằng giá cao chính là trở ngại lớn trong sự phát triển xe điện. Nhà sản xuất sẽ xây dựng mô hình có khả năng chuyển đổi giữa sử dụng động cơ xăng, diesel, hybrid, hybirs nạp điện với động cơ chạy pin hoàn toàn, nhằm giảm chi phí.

Bởi vậy, hãng Ford thiết kế lại nhiều xe, công việc này nhằm chuyển đổi hoàn toàn cách thức truyền động. Đầu tiên là chiếc Focus 2012, mẫu hatchbach 5 cửa C-Max, tiếp theo sẽ là những mẫu xe khác.

Ford đang có kế hoạch về những chiếc Focus điện và hybrid, hybrid nạp điện ngoài cho C-Max. Hãng này đang tìm kiếm những cách thức mới nhằm cắt giảm nguồn phụ tải như hệ thông sưởi, điều hoà, trợ lực lái, điều khiển gương và gạt nước nhằm giảm dung lượng pin. Kết quả sẽ tạo ra một số loại pin giá rẻ hơn.
