Ngày 1.5, danh sách đề cử giải thưởng điện ảnh thường niên lần thứ 21 MTV Movie Awards năm 2012 đă chính thức được công bố. Dẫn đầu là hai bộ phim ăn khách của Hollywood là Bridesmaids và The Hunger Games với số đề cử, tranh giải tại 8 hạng mục.
Theo Reuters, giải thưởng MTV Movie Awards năm nay dường như không c̣n là cuộc đua gay cấn giữa hai sê-ri phim dành cho khán giả trẻ tuổi là Harry Potter và Twilight.
Thay vào đó, sự cạnh tranh khốc liệt lại “điểm mặt gọi tên” một đại diện của ḍng phim hài dành cho người lớn Bridesmaids (http://media.thanhnien.com. vn/pages/chuyen-muc.aspx?ids=987&category=27) và một “tân binh” hành động giả tưởng vừa được ra mắt khán giả toàn cầu trong tháng 3.2012 - The Hunger Games.

Tuy nhiên, thể thức lựa chọn các giải thưởng chủ yếu dựa theo số phiếu bầu chọn của khán giả vẫn không thay đổi. Từ ngày 1.5, khán giả trên toàn cầu đă có thể bầu chọn cho bộ phim, diễn viên… yêu thích nhất trên website MovieAwards.MTV.com.
Được biết, lễ trao giải MTV Movie Awards 2012 sẽ diễn ra vào tối 3.6 tại Gibson Amphitheatre (California, Mỹ).
