Anh Quốc đang phải trải qua những ngày giá lạnh như vùng Siberian của Nga – nơi nhiệt độ nổi tiếng thấp nhất thế giới.
Thời tiết băng giá đã khiến các tuyến đường Anh Quốc tắc nghẽn suốt những ngày cuối tuần, và còn kéo dài sang cả những ngày đầu tuần. Có nhiều nơi, nhiệt độ thấp dưới -7 độ C.
Đặc biệt, tại các khu vực phía Đông Anglia cho tới Lancashire, lượng tuyết rơi dự kiến còn nhiều và dày hơn trong những ngày tới. Dự kiến, băng tuyết sẽ dày hơn 5cm.
Trung tâm khí tượng thủy văn còn cảnh báo khu vực Devon, tuyết có thể phủ cao tới 10cm.
