There are things and events that I've went thru in lives, but July 6th.... in Washington DC. is going to be unforgettable. As I stood up there looking down upon the many faces of our Vietnamese people that participated, I can't help but felt that lump in my throat and the love and pain for our people and our country.
Why? I ask... Why can't we be in unity?
Why is there divide among people that are of one nation? Why couldn't we became united way back in time? Why are there traitors that sell one's country while watching your own people suffer when you live a good life. Are there morals? Where is the dignity? I'll probably won't ever know the truth but I know this much.
That day July 6 I saw a change. I saw our people coming together holding hands. Strangers but yet family. I saw tears lingering in eyes of those that stood before me while we were singing. I saw fire in those that want to make a difference for our country. I'm a woman, a daughter, and a mom... I'm not suppose to stand and present myself this way? Like some say? Well... I have this to tell you! And I think I'm speaking for the majority of our vietnamese women. We now are strong figures. We're not only thinking for our family, or career, but we have to think for our nation.
Why? Because we are moms! I looked at my girls with hope that one day they need to grow up and know where they came from.... know their roots. Know that their ancestors and parents have fought their last breath to save their country and culture. No Communist, No China or anyone have a right to take something that does not belong to them!
We will not turn a blind eye to traitors that sell our country! We will stand and raise our voices. We will not take things sitting down anymore. Those that lost hope have to realize that HOPE is the only thing stronger than FEAR! Please don't fear! It's not an option! Believe in the change of wind. Vietnam will one day be free! Believe that! Now turn around and look at your children's faces.... That should give you strength! Unite not divide!
These are some of the special moments that meant a lot to me. Thank you all for reading. Know that this comes from my heart. God Bless
