Người Việt ở Mỹ nô nức đi tiêm vaccine Covid-19
 

Nhiều người gốc Việt và du học sinh cảm thấy tự tin và an toàn hơn sau khi tiêm vắc xin Covid-19, trong bối cảnh chính quyền Tổng thống Joe Biden đẩy mạnh chương trình chủng ngừa.
Thủ tục dễ dàng
Các bang ở Mỹ đang đẩy mạnh chương trình tiêm chủng miễn phí cho người dân bản xứ và du học sinh, bao gồm người Việt. Ông Doan Phong ở TP.Garden Groove (bang California) cùng một số người gốc Việt ở bang này cho Thanh Niên biết thậm chí những người nhập cư không giấy tờ cũng được tiêm vắc xin Covid-19.Về thủ tục đăng ký tiêm chủng, cô Phạm Lan Phương, du học sinh thạc sĩ ở TP.Las Vegas (bang Nevada), cho biết cô chỉ cần đến trung tâm tiêm chủng trình giấy tờ tùy thân, hộ chiếu và làm thủ tục. Sau đó, du học sinh cũng như người dân Mỹ được cấp thẻ chứng nhận tiêm vắc xin Covid-19.
“Truyền thông Mỹ đưa tin với thẻ chứng nhận tiêm chủng thì người dân có thể bay đến một số quốc gia Nam và Trung Mỹ và các quốc gia đang xem xét mở cửa đón những du khách có giấy chứng nhận tiêm ngừa”, Phương cho biết.
Tùy theo nguồn cung, mỗi bang sẽ dùng vắc xin của hãng Pfizer hay Moderna và chính quyền địa phương thông báo rõ cho người dân biết họ sẽ được tiêm vắc xin của hãng nào, theo du học sinh Diệp Uyên tại Đại học bang Kansas.
“Riêng vắc xin Johnson & Johnson bị tạm ngừng triển khai tại một số bang vì lo ngại về những trường hợp đông máu hiếm gặp”, Uyên nói với Thanh Niên. Nhiều du học sinh Việt và người gốc Việt cho biết các trung tâm tiêm chủng ở nhiều bang được mở rộng và mọi người xếp hàng dài trật tự như hành khách ở sân bay.Người gốc Việt và du học sinh được chủng ngừa chia sẻ với Thanh Niên rằng họ cảm thấy an toàn, thoải mái và tự tin hơn khi ra ngoài, không còn cảm giác lo âu, sợ bị lây nhiễm. “Tôi có cảm giác như cả TP.Las Vegas sẵn sàng trở lại cuộc sống bình thường”, cô Lan Phương kể về lần tiêm mũi thứ hai. Theo cô, bản thân được tiêm đủ hai liều vắc xin Covid-19 hồi cuối tháng 3 là điều thực sự quan trọng về mặt tinh thần, đồng thời mở ra các khả năng khác trong cuộc sống hằng ngày.
“Trường tôi có thể mở cửa vào mùa thu 2021, và sinh viên sẽ quay lại trường sau khi tiêm vắc xin. Dù vẫn chưa có gì chắc chắn nhưng nhiều người Mỹ đang bàn tán về vấn đề một số tập đoàn, công ty yêu cầu nhân viên tiêm chủng trước khi quay trở lại làm việc”, Phương nói.
Tuy vậy, cô T.T ở TP.Pleasant Hill (bang California) cho hay hiện việc tiêm vắc xin Covid-19 là không bắt buộc và các công ty cũng không yêu cầu nhân viên phải tiêm chủng. Trong khi đó, cô Mai Lan ở TP.Bel Air (bang Maryland) cho biết toàn bộ gia đình đã tiêm vắc xin của Moderna. Nhiều đồng nghiệp tại công ty của cô đều đã tiêm vắc xin dù không bắt buộc.Theo phản ánh của những người gốc Việt, hiện đa số người dân đều tự do đi lại ở các bang. “Tuy vậy, mọi người vẫn phải tuân thủ quy định phòng chống dịch nên cũng không có nhiều thay đổi sau khi tiêm vắc xin”, cô T.T nói.
Tại TP.Bel Air, cô Mai Lan cho biết: “Mọi hoạt động giờ đây dần quay lại như thời điểm trước dịch. Sau khi tiêm vắc xin, gia đình tôi gần đây cũng đã đi du lịch nhiều nơi nhưng vẫn phải chấp hành các quy định phòng dịch như đeo khẩu trang, đảm bảo giãn cách xã hội ở nơi đông người. Các trường học ở bang Maryland cũng đã mở cửa lại, hoạt động 4 ngày/tuần và những ngày còn lại là học trực tuyến”.
