As of November 23, around 700 Vietnamese citizens find themselves in Myanmar amid a security crisis in several northern states of the country, as revealed by Pham Thu Hang, the Spokeswoman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a press conference in Hanoi. In response to the deteriorating security situation, the Ministry swiftly directed the Vietnamese Embassy in Myanmar to collaborate with local authorities, urging them to ensure the safety and basic living conditions of Vietnamese citizens, along with facilitating their movement out of the conflict-ridden areas.

In the face of this complex situation, the Ministry is actively working in tandem with Vietnamese representative agencies in Myanmar and China, sharing crucial information with countries that have their citizens present in the affected region. Additionally, efforts have been made to seek support from Chinese authorities for the protection of Vietnamese citizens during this tumultuous period.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is presently collaborating with both domestic and international agencies to implement comprehensive safety measures and evacuation plans. This includes maintaining active communication with Vietnamese citizens located in the affected areas. The commitment extends to keeping a vigilant eye on the evolving situation, with readiness to deploy necessary protection measures for the safe repatriation of Vietnamese citizens from Myanmar.
