Khoảng 150 công ty chủ yếu có trụ sở tại Trung Quốc (TQ) có khả năng bị hủy niêm yết khỏi thị trường chứng khoán Mỹ liên quan đến các quy tắc kiểm toán, theo tờ Nikkei Asia.
Tính đến cuối tuần trước, danh sách các công ty bị Ủy ban Chứng khoán và Giao dịch Mỹ (SEC) gắn cờ đỏ và có nguy cơ bị hủy niêm yết bao gồm khoảng 60% lượng công ty TQ có cổ phiếu giao dịch tại Mỹ.
Theo Đạo luật chịu trách nhiệm về công ty nước ngoài được thông qua vào năm 2020, kết quả kiểm toán của các công ty giao dịch đại chúng ở Mỹ bắt buộc phải được Ban giám sát kế toán Công ty Đại chúng (PCAOB) thuộc SEC kiểm tra. Những công ty không tuân thủ trong ba năm tài chính liên tiếp bắt đầu từ ngày 18-12-2020 sẽ bị hủy niêm yết.

SEC đã cập nhật các quy tắc niêm yết buộc phải đáp ứng vào tháng 12-2021 và bắt đầu công bố danh sách các công ty bị gắn cờ theo luật Mỹ vào tháng 3 vừa qua.

TQ nhiều năm đã từ chối các cuộc thanh tra kiểm toán nước ngoài, với lý do lo ngại về an ninh quốc gia. SEC và Ủy ban Điều tiết chứng khoán TQ (CSRC) đã nhiều lần đàm phán sau quyết định của SEC, tuy nhiên hiện không có dấu hiệu cho thấy SEC sẽ nhượng bộ, theo Nikkei Asia.

Gần nhất, ngày 10-6, Công ty Didi Global (dịch vụ gọi xe hàng đầu của TQ) đã tự nguyện ngừng giao dịch trên sàn giao dịch chứng khoán New York.
