Ấn Độ "nghiến răng" thà thiệt hại kinh tế chứ quyết không dùng hàng Trung Quốc
 

Làn sóng tẩy chay hàng hóa và dịch vụ Trung Quốc bùng lên dữ dội tại Ấn Độ bất chấp việc nền kinh tế quốc gia Nam Á có thể hứng chịu nhiều thiệt hại.

Theo Times of India, một cuộc khảo sát online trên trang LocalCircles tại Ấn Độ cho thấy có tới 87% trong số 32.000 người được hỏi tuyên bố sẽ không bán và không sử dụng hàng hóa “Made in China” trong vòng ít nhất một năm. Trước đó, người tiêu dùng và doanh nghiệp Ấn Độ cũng đồng loạt kêu gọi tẩy chay hàng hóa Trung Quốc.

Tuần trước, chính phủ Ấn Độ cho biết sẽ tăng thuế nhập khẩu lên 300 mặt hàng nhập từ Trung Quốc. Bộ Viễn thông Ấn Độ ra lệnh cho các hãng dịch viễn thông nhà nước cũng như tư nhân ngừng mọi thỏa thuận với doanh nghiệp Trung Quốc. Các công ty Trung Quốc cũng bị cấm tham gia đấu thầu mọi dự án phát triển hạ tầng viễn thông Ấn Độ, bao gồm kế hoạch nâng cấp dịch vụ 4G.

Liên minh Thương nhân Ấn Độ (CAIT) - đại diện hơn 60 triệu thương nhân nước này - cho biết sẽ tẩy chay 450 thương hiệu bán hơn 3.000 sản phẩm có xuất xứ từ Trung Quốc. Chủ tịch đảng Cộng hòa Ấn Độ Ramdas Athawale cũng kêu gọi người dân nước này nói "không" với đồ ăn và nhà hàng Trung Quốc.

Tuy nhiên, nền kinh tế Ấn Độ phụ thuộc đáng kể vào nguyên liệu nhập khẩu từ Trung Quốc. Trung Quốc đang là đối tác thương mại lớn thứ hai của Ấn Độ, chỉ sau Mỹ. Thương mại với Trung Quốc chiếm hơn 10% tổng thương mại Ấn Độ.

Do đó, giới chuyên gia nhận định Ấn Độ sẽ chịu nhiều tổn thất nếu “xóa sổ” hàng hóa Trung Quốc sau vụ đụng độ đẫm máu tại biên giới. Theo Times of India, thống kê của Liên Hiệp Quốc cho thấy khoảng 15,3% hàng nhập khẩu vào Ấn Độ đến từ Trung Quốc. Chỉ 5,1% hàng xuất khẩu Ấn Độ đi đến Trung Quốc.

Là “công xưởng của thế giới”, Trung Quốc giữ vai trò là đối tác thương mại lớn của nhiều quốc gia trên thế giới. Do đó, các chuyên gia cho rằng thiệt hại đối với Trung Quốc từ làn sóng tẩy chay của Ấn Độ là không quá lớn.

Ngoài ra, đầu tư từ Trung Quốc vào Ấn Độ tăng đều đặn trong 20 năm qua. Báo cáo của fDimarkets cho thấy từ năm 2003 đến 2020, khoảng 225 công ty Trung Quốc đổ tiền vào Ấn Độ. Ngành viễn thông Trung Quốc có sự hiện diện đáng kể tại Ấn Độ. Huawei và Xiaomi đang triển khai tới 13 dự án quy mô lớn tại Ấn Độ, ZTE và Vivo có 5 dự án.

Nền kinh tế Ấn Độ đang suy nghiêm trọng do tác động của dịch Covid-19. Do đó, một cuộc chiến thương mại với Trung Quốc sẽ ảnh hưởng lớn đến nền kinh tế Ấn Độ. Dù vậy, mọi dấu hiệu cho thấy làn sóng tẩy chay hàng hóa và dịch vụ Trung Quốc tại Ấn Độ vẫn đang lan rộng.

Thậm chí, có những dấu hiệu cho thấy phía Trung Quốc lo ngại với làn sóng tẩy chay này. Tuần trước, Global Times đăng bài xã luận kêu gọi Ấn Độ "kiềm chế những tiếng nói tẩy chay hàng Trung Quốc".
