Du khách ghé thăm nước Úc sẽ chỉ được mang vào 25 điếu thuốc lá, nếu quá mức sẽ phải trả thuế, hiệu lực từ 1-7-2019.

Khi bạn đi du lịch đến Úc (bao gồm Đảo Giáng sinh, Đảo Norfolk hoặc Quần đảo Cocos (Keeling), bạn có thể mang theo các sản phẩm thuốc lá nếu bạn 18 tuổi trở lên.

Bạn được phép mang miễn thuế: một bao max 25 điếu hoặc 25 gram các sản phẩm thuốc lá.

Nếu bạn mang nhiều thuốc lá, bạn phải: trả tất cả các thuế liên quan.

Bạn không cần giấy phép mang các sản phẩm thuốc lá (xì gà, thuốc lá) miễn là bạn khai báo thuốc lá và trả thuế cần thiết.

Nhân viên ABF sẽ cho bạn biết bạn phải trả bao nhiêu. Số tiền thuế bạn phải trả tùy thuộc vào lượng thuốc lá mà bạn mang theo.

Chúng tôi có thể truy tố hoặc hủy visa của bạn nếu bạn không khai bất kỳ loại thuốc lá nào bạn mang trên mức miễn thuế.

Nếu bạn muốn mang về hơn 1,5 kg thuốc lá, bạn sẽ cần phải xin phép Ủy ban Tiêu dùng và Cạnh tranh Úc.

When you travel to Australia (including Christmas Island, Norfolk Island, or the Cocos (Keeling) Islands) you can usually bring tobacco products with you if you’re aged 18 years or older.

You’re allowed to bring in duty-free:

one unopen packet of up to 25 cigarettes or 25 grams of other tobacco products including smokeless tobacco, and
one open packet of cigarettes
If you bring in a lot of tobacco you must:

declare any tobacco you have with you above the duty free allowance
pay all relevant duty and taxes that apply on arrival into Australia
You do not need a permit to bring in tobacco products (cigars, cigarettes, molasses tobacco and loose leaf tobacco) as a traveller, as long as you declare the tobacco and pay the required duty.

You’ll need to pay duty on:

all your tobacco, not only the amount above the allowance
smokeless tobacco, above the duty free allowance of 25 grams (you can bring up to 1.5 kg)
ABF officers will tell you how much duty you must pay. The amount of duty you pay depends on the amount of tobacco you’re bringing in.

We might prosecute or cancel your visa if you don’t declare any tobacco you have with you above the duty free allowance.

Duty free allowances apply to visitors, Australian residents, Airline or Ship Crew Member.

If you want to bring in more than 1.5 kg of smokeless tobacco you will need to get permission from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
