As Sidney Powell revealed, Andrew Weissmann, a DOJ prosecutor who ran Mueller’s team, was notorious for extorting guilty pleas. She said Weissmann was the “driving force” in the indictment of Arthur Anderson in the Enron case, using “special tactics” to prosecute alleged criminals. According to Powell, Weissmann forced one of those involved into a guilty plea by convincing his non-criminal actions were “criminal.” Powell: “In their distorted pursuit of convictions and power, they sought to win at any cost. Only they know all of the evidence they withheld and all of the laws they broke to achieve their self-defined ends. “They have continued through the years to protect and encourage each other, and they have been promoted by Obama to positions of enormous power and influence despite their legacy of injustice.”

Soon after Barr departed the White House Tuesday, a DOJ spokesperson sent reporters a statement hitting back at what the official described as inaccurate characterizations by some in the media of Barr's comments.

"Some media outlets have incorrectly reported that the Department has concluded its investigation of election fraud and announced an affirmative finding of no fraud in the election," the spokesperson said. "That is not what the Associated Press reported nor what the Attorney General stated. The Department will continue to receive and vigorously pursue all specific and credible allegations of fraud as expeditiously as possible."
