Hegseth cảnh báo Thủy quân lục chiến đang tại ngũ tại Trại Pendleton cũng sẽ được huy động để dập tắt các cuộc bạo loạn ở Los Angeles… “Họ đang trong tình trạng báo động cao”

Bộ trưởng Quốc phòng Pete Hegseth tối thứ Bảy đã thông báo rằng Thủy quân Lục chiến đang tại ngũ đóng tại Trại Pendleton sẽ được huy động để dập tắt các cuộc bạo loạn chống ICE ở trung tâm thành phố Los Angeles.

Trại Pendleton nằm cách Los Angeles khoảng 80 dặm về phía nam ở phía Bắc Quận San Diego.

Các cuộc biểu tình bạo lực bắt đầu vào thứ sáu sau khi các đặc vụ ICE tiến hành nhiều cuộc đột kích ở trung tâm thành phố Los Angeles vào thứ sáu.

Cuộc bạo loạn tiếp tục diễn ra vào thứ Bảy. Những người biểu tình đã đốt phá, ném vật thể vào cảnh sát và phá hoại tài sản để đáp lại lời kêu gọi hành động của Thị trưởng LA Karen Bass.

Đảng viên Dân chủ Karen Bass đã thổi bùng ngọn lửa vào đêm thứ sáu khi tấn công các nhân viên ICE.

Hegseth đưa ra thông báo này ngay sau khi Tổng thống Trump ký bản ghi nhớ của tổng thống triển khai 2.000 Vệ binh Quốc gia để “giải quyết tình trạng vô luật pháp”.

Hegseth cho biết: “Các cuộc tấn công bạo lực của đám đông vào ICE và Cơ quan Thực thi Luật pháp Liên bang được thiết kế để ngăn chặn việc trục xuất Người nhập cư bất hợp pháp khỏi đất nước chúng ta; một cuộc xâm lược nguy hiểm được tạo điều kiện bởi các băng đảng tội phạm (hay còn gọi là Tổ chức Khủng bố Nước ngoài) và là RỦI RO AN NINH QUỐC GIA rất lớn”.

“Dưới thời Tổng thống Trump, bạo lực và phá hoại chống lại các đặc vụ liên bang và các cơ sở liên bang sẽ KHÔNG được dung thứ. Đó là LÝ LUẬN THƯỜNG XUYÊN,” Hegseth nói.

“@DeptofDefense đang huy động Vệ binh Quốc gia NGAY LẬP TỨC để hỗ trợ lực lượng thực thi pháp luật liên bang tại Los Angeles. Và, nếu bạo lực tiếp diễn, Thủy quân Lục chiến đang tại ngũ tại Trại Pendleton cũng sẽ được huy động — họ đang trong tình trạng báo động cao,” ông nói thêm.

Thống đốc đảng Dân chủ của California, Gavin Newsom đã chỉ trích Chính quyền Trump vì đã triển khai Vệ binh Quốc gia để ngăn chặn các cuộc bạo loạn chống ICE.
