Another one of our three missions yesterday in Phu Yen/Tuy Hoa was to find the 3 brothers and sister whose parents passed away leaving them with old grandma. When we found them their story is very similar to the Banh Xeo Boy. Beacause of the video clip, they have received a great amount of support that they now only have to worry about going to school and getting good grades.

Nonetheless, my friends still gave them around 3000usd because so many people wanted to specifically give the kids money. That amount was more than enough so I didn't use the money from all of you to give this family. Instead we went around the neighborgood with the help of a few good neighbors and gave instant noodles boxes, sugar, and cooking oil to the families who are also in bad shape.

One house we visited was of the boy who was the sole survivor when his entire family stepped on landmines. He was heavily disfigured based on the neighbor's description.

He was out working on the farm when we came but we left him lots of food and cooking essentials. Hopefully he is a lil happier when he gets home.
