Arrow Six people killed in coffee & music lounge fire in central Vietnam

A coffee and music lounge suddenly caught fire early on June 15 morning in Vinh City, of Nghe An province, central Vietnam, killing at least six people, according to local police.

The fierce blaze has swept through the house, burning it out after more than an hour.

The fire broke out from Fill Coffee & Music Lounge on Dinh Cong Trang street at around 00.05, said a local resident, adding that people living nearby could hear big explosions.

Dozens of firefighters and police officers were deployed to the scene. However, all the rolling doors around the house were locked, making it difficult for firefighters to storm in.

More than an hour later, the fire was basically put out. Rescue workers found six dead bodies, including two children, on the second floor.

Relevant forces cordoned off the house to investigate the cause the fire.

A local resident said the coffee & music house has temporarily been closed for more than a week due to COVID-19.

According to local police, the fire destroyed almost the entire first and second floors of the house. Many electronic devices and assets inside were burned out.

Several photos of the fire.
