Congressman Calls For Prosecution Of Trump For Treason

New Jersey Representative Bill Pascrell (D-NJ) does not mess around. He is the House Ways and Means Committee’s Oversight Subcommittee Chair until the end of this House’s session. As such, he is demanding the Department of Justice (DOJ) investigate Donald Trump for treason, but that is not all.
He has called for Trump’s entire administration to be tried for their crimes against our nation and Constitution, as soon as President-elect Joe Biden is sworn into office. The subcommittee conducts oversight on tax, trade, and health issues. He is a remarkably strong replacement for the late Representative John Biden (D-GA).
Pascrell tweeted:
‘TONIGHT I’M CALLING FOR THE EVENTUAL PROSECUTION OF DONALD (SIC) TRUMP (SIC) AND HIS ENABLERS FOR THEIR MANY CRIMES AGAINST THE UNITED STATES.’
Pascrell said Trump “has engaged in treachery, in treason,” according to NJ.com:
‘[THE PRESIDENT] HAS ATTACKED OUR ELECTIONS AND SOUGHT TO THROTTLE DEMOCRACY. HE WAS RIGHTLY IMPEACHED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. HE HAS ENGAGED IN TREACHERY, IN TREASON. HE HAS ALL BUT GIVEN UP ON GOVERNING AND PROTECTING OUR NATION AND IF HE HAD A SHRED OF DIGNITY HE WOULD RESIGN TODAY.’
The New Jersey representative continued listing the Trump administration’s many failures:
‘FAILURE TO HOLD FINANCIAL AND POLITICAL WRONGDOING ACCOUNTABLE IN THE PAST HAS INVITED GREATER MALFEASANCE BY BAD ACTORS. A REPEAT OF THOSE FAILURES IN 2021 FURTHER EMBOLDENS CRIMINALITY BY OUR NATIONAL LEADERS AND CONTINUES AMERICA DOWN THE PATH OF LAWLESSNESS AND AUTHORITARIANISM. THERE MUST BE ACCOUNTABILITY.’
