Bang Texas cầu viện giúp chống dịch. Mới đây Thống đốc bang Texas, Mỹ kêu gọi trợ giúp y tế nhằm đối phó với sự gia tăng của các ca mắc Covid-19 phải nhập viện. Đặc biệt là bang này không bắt buộc người dân tiêm chủng và đeo khẩu trang.

Thống đốc Greg Abbott chỉ đạo ngành y tế bang Texas (Mỹ) bổ sung thêm nhân lực trong bối cảnh biến chủng Delta bùng phát ở các bệnh viện trên toàn bang, theo Los Angeles Times.

Trước đó, ông Abbott ngăn cản chính quyền các địa phương bắt buộc người dân tiêm chủng và đeo khẩu trang, bất chấp lời kêu gọi từ Tổng thống Joe Biden và các quan chức đảng Dân chủ.

“Quan điểm của Thống đốc Abbott rất rơ ràng (về việc tiêm chủng và đeo khẩu trang). Chúng tôi dựa vào trách nhiệm cá nhân thay v́ quy định của chính quyền”, bà Renae Eze, người phát ngôn của thống đốc cho biết.

Tuy nhiên, bà Renae Eze vẫn khẳng định “vaccine là biện pháp bảo vệ hiệu quả nhất chống lại Covid-19", và "khuyến khích mọi người dân Texas đủ điều kiện hăy đi tiêm chủng".

Theo Trung tâm Kiểm soát và Pḥng ngừa Dịch bệnh (CDC) Mỹ, Texas ghi nhận gần 9.500 người nhập viện v́ Covid-19 trong tuần này. Tỷ lệ tiêm chủng của bang đạt khoảng 45%.

Một số quan chức ở các địa phương của Texas hôm 10/8 yêu cầu áp dụng quy định đeo khẩu trang trong các trường công, đồng thời cách ly những học sinh chưa được tiêm chủng nếu tiếp xúc với bệnh nhân Covid-19.

Trên cả nước, số ca nhập viện do virus SARS-CoV-2 của Mỹ vượt mốc 68.000 trường hợp hôm 9/8, cao hơn mức kỷ lục ghi nhận vào mùa hè năm 2020 với 66.000 ca.

Với khoảng 15.000 bệnh nhân Covid-19 nhập viện mỗi ngày, hệ thống y tế tại Texas đang trở nên quá tải. Các bang lân cận không bắt buộc người dân tiêm chủng và đeo khẩu trang cũng lâm vào t́nh trạng tương tự.

Florida và Louisiana công bố số ca nhập viện do Covid-19 kỷ lục trong tuần này, c̣n Arkansas ghi nhận mức tăng số ca nhập viện trong ngày cao nhất từ đầu dịch.

Tại thành phố Houston (Texas), Bệnh viện Lyndon B. Johnson đă tuyên bố quá tải vào cuối tuần trước. Cơ sở này phải ngừng tiếp nhận bệnh nhân và dựng thêm 2 lều rộng 185,8 m2 để ứng phó với t́nh h́nh.

Vậy trách nhiệm cá nhân không chịu chích ngừa và mang khẩu trang phải tự giác tự làm tự chịu không nên làm phiền bệnh viện và xă hội.

Để khi nào ḍng họ, gia đ́nh tên thống đốc TX này, cùng tên ở FL và bọn cẩu gốc Vịt FL, TX, CA bị nhiễm bịnh và chết hết đi th́ lúc đó mới sáng mắt được.
