Những thông tin xấu cho thấy Wal-Mart làm ăn thất thu tại thị trường của chính ḿnh đó là Hoa Kỳ. Sự việc sắp tới là chuỗi siêu thị sẽ đóng cửa 5 siêu thị liền dẫn đến hàng ngàn công nhân sẽ mất việc. Cùng vietbf.com khám phá thêm.

Hệ thống bán lẻ Wal- Mart đă bất ngờ đóng cửa năm cửa hàng tại bốn tiểu bang vào hôm thứ Hai tuần này với lư do hệ thống ống nước bị hư hại. Được biết, việc đóng cửa sẽ kéo dài đến sáu tháng và ảnh hưởng đến khoảng 2,200 công nhân của Wal-Mart ở các tiểu bang Texas, California, Oklahoma và Florida.

Cali Today News - Các nhân viên của Wal-Mart cho biết họ hoàn toàn không được báo trước về việc này. Hôm thứ Hai, năm cửa hàng này của Wal-Mart đă đồng loạt đóng cửa vào lúc 7 giờ tối. Các nhân viên chỉ nhận được thông báo đóng cửa chỉ vài giờ đồng trước đó. Venanzi Luna, một nhân viên quản lư tại một cửa hàng Wal-Mart ở Pico Rivera, California nói với CNN Money rằng:

"Mọi người không hề hay biết ǵ cả. Có người tỏ ra sợ hăi và bắt đầu khóc."

Theo CNN Money, tất cả các nhân viên làm việc tại năm cửa hàng nói trên của Wal-Mart sẽ vẫn được trả lương theo kiểu paid leave - nghỉ phép được trả lương - trong ṿng hai tháng. Sau đó, chỉ những nhân viên làm việc full time mới được nhận tiền bồi thường mất việc. Các quan chức địa phương và các nhân viên đă đặt câu hỏi trước t́nh trạng đóng cửa đột ngột của Wal-Mart.

Theo ABC News th́ không hề có giấy phép sửa chữa hệ thống ống nước nào được cấp cho bất kỳ một cửa hàng nào (những cửa hàng đóng cửa) của Wal-Mart. Những nơi mà Wal-Mart đóng cửa gồm có Brandon ở Florida, Pico Rivera ở California, Livingston và Midland ở Texas, và Tulsa ở Oklahoma.

Một quan chức thành phố ở Pico Rivera khẳng định với CBS Los Angeles rằng thành phố không hề nhận được bất kỳ yêu cầu nào về giấy phép xây dựng hay sửa chữa của cửa hàng Wal-Mart. Tại Midland, tiểu bang Texas, một quan chức thành phố cũng nói với ABC News rằng một thanh tra về hệ thống ống nước đă được cử đến khu vực của cửa hàng Wal-Mart đóng cửa, nhưng người này đă bị từ chối.

Ông Codi Bauer, một người chịu trách nhiệm về hệ thống ống nước của cửa hàng Wal-Mart ở Brandon, tiểu bang Florida cũng đặt ra câu hỏi về khung thời gian mà phía công ty công bố cho việc sửa chữa:
"Ngay cả nếu họ phải thay thế toàn bộ hệ thống ống nước của cửa hàng th́ cũng không mất đến sáu tháng để làm."

Một đại diện của Wal-Mart nói với cơ quan đại diện người tiêu dùng rằng hiện công ty vẫn chưa xin giấy phép sửa chữa bởi v́ phía công ty vẫn chưa biết chính xác những ǵ cần phải sửa chữa. Ngoài ra Wal-Mart dự định sẽ nâng cấp và bổ sung thêm một số hạng mục mới cho các cửa hàng của ḿnh.

Một số nhân viên làm việc tại các cửa hàng Wal-Mart bị đóng cửa th́ cho rằng Wal-Mart đóng cửa năm cửa hàng này v́ những cuộc biểu t́nh của nhân viên đ̣i tăng lương. Các nhân viên của cửa hàng ở Pico Rivera là một trong số những người đầu tiên tham gia vào cuộc biểu t́nh vào ngày Black Friday hồi năm 2012. Một nhân viên tại đây nói với CBS Los Angeles:

"Đây là nơi đầu tiên mà cuộc đ́nh công diễn ra. Chúng tôi là những người đầu tiên yêu cầu Wal-Mart thay đổi chính sách trả lương."

Dường như bị xuống dốc từ lúc vụ kiện của nhân viên và Co. Walmart về kỳ thị sắc tộc vài năm trước ,sau vụ nầy Walmart chỉ c̣n đa số dân nghèo da màu. Nên nhớ rằng ở Mỹ lời nói không hẳn giống như hành động ,chổ nào có dân da màu là dân da trắng di tản hết ....cho nên mới có từ "khu đen " hay "khu trắng"...không bao giờ hết bản chất kỳ thị của con người .

Có quá nhiều vấn đế cần được làm trong cái đất nước Việt nam đang bị cai trị bởi bọn cộng sản mà mày c̣n chưa làm được cái đách ǵ được th́ xin mày đừng có bô bô cái mơm của mày lên mà nói về đất nước khác

Không biết mỗi cái Walmart này tạo công ăn việc làm cho khoảng bao nhiêu người, nhưng mỗi cái Walmart này sẽ tốn cho state không dưới 1 triệu v́ công nhân họ hầu hết là dạng low income, cần được giúp đỡ.
