Ngày 17/10, Tổng thống Mỹ Donald Trump đă xác nhận Bộ trưởng Năng lượng Rick Perry sẽ từ chức.

Người đứng đầu Nhà Trắng cho hay, ông Perry đă hoàn toàn xuất sắc công việc ở bộ năng lượng, và giờ tới lúc phải ra đi bởi ba năm tại nhiệm là quá lâu. Ông Trump cũng cho biết đă t́m được người kế nhiệm Perry và sẽ sớm thông báo.

Thông tin từ Tổng thống Mỹ được đưa ra chỉ một ngày trước hạn chót mà phe Dân chủ tại Hạ viện đặt ra với ông Perry về việc giao ra các tài liệu liên quan tới cuộc điều tra luận tội nhằm vào người đứng đầu Nhà Trắng.

Trước đó một ngày, một đoạn phỏng vấn ông Perry cũng được tiết lộ, trong đó ông này thừa nhận liên lạc với Rudy Giuliani, luật sư riêng của ông Trump. Hai bên đă thảo luận về chính sách liên quan tới Ukraina, theo lệnh của ông Trump.

Hôm 7/10, phát biểu trước báo giới, Bộ trưởng Năng lượng Perry đă bác bỏ tin tức rằng ông đang lên kế hoạch từ chức vào tháng 11. Ông khẳng định không có bất cứ kế hoạch nào về việc rời bỏ cương vị hiện nay của ḿnh.

Cũng trong phát biểu của ḿnh, ông Perry xác nhận “nhiều lần” đề nghị Tổng thống Trump trao đổi với người đồng cấp Ukraina Volodymyr Zelensky về các vấn đề năng lượng, bởi điều này nằm trong lợi ích của Mỹ và Ukraina.

Trong một diễn biến khác, Nhà Trắng hôm 17/10 bất ngờ thừa nhận ông Trump đă giữ lại khoản viện trợ 390 triệu USD nhằm hối thúc Ukraina điều tra cáo buộc đảng Dân chủ giấu máy chủ ở Kiev. Tuy nhiên, sau đó, Ukraina vẫn nhận được khoản viện trợ này.

"Tổng thống có đột nhiên đề cập với tôi việc tham nhũng liên quan đến máy chủ của đảng Dân chủ không? Hoàn toàn không có nghi ngờ ǵ về điều đó. Đó là lư do chúng tôi giữ lại viện trợ", quyền Chánh Văn pḥng Nhà Trắng Mick Mulvaney nói.

Mulvaney cho rằng ông Trump không làm ǵ sai và không có chuyện tổng thống dùng viện trợ ép Ukraina điều tra cựu Phó tổng thống Joe Biden. "Tiền được giữ lại hoàn toàn không liên quan đến ông Biden", quyền Chánh văn pḥng Nhà Trắng nói.

Ngày xưa nếu 1 quan chức nghỉ (hay bị) nghỉ việc. mọi người, báo chí bàn tán xôn xao.

Thời nay qua vài tháng mà không nghe ai nghỉ: cảm thấy ...nhớ!

th́ thời nay như bác ngồi vô bàn cờ tuớng vậy đó .. mấy con chốt có nghĩa là bao .. nhiều khi phải thí con xe để bảo vệ đuợc con tuớng đấy . c̣n mấy con sĩ ở đây chắc chỉ là phù du thôi (v́ thí truớc mấy con chốt rồi) hahaha

Tui chỉ lo rằng: Nếu lần sau Ngài đắc cử, không biết c̣n đủ người có khả năng để phục vụ không?
