Bài đăng xuất hiện sau khi Hạ viện Mỹ thông qua điều tra luận tội Trump với 232 phiếu thuận và 196 phiếu chống, liên quan tới cuộc điện đàm hồi tháng 7 giữa ông chủ Nhà Trắng với Tổng thống Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. Tổng thống Mỹ gọi đây là "cuộc săn phù thủy lớn nhất" trong lịch sử nước nước này.

Câu trích dẫn của Ivanka lấy từ bức thư của Thomas Jefferson, tổng thống thứ ba và tác giả Tuyên ngôn Độc lập Mỹ, viết cho con gái vào tháng 2/1801 khi ông là phó tổng thống và quốc hội Mỹ chưa xác định ông hay Aaron Burr sẽ là tổng thống. Cuộc bỏ phiếu tại quốc hội chưa đầy một tháng sau đó đă giúp Jefferson trở thành tổng thống Mỹ trong giai đoạn 1801-1809.

Trong thư, Jefferson đề cập sự căng thẳng giữa ông và đối thủ chính trị. Trung tâm Miller thuộc Đại học Virginia mô tả căng thẳng khi đó đă "đạt đến mức độ thù địch cá nhân khó sánh kịp trong chính trị Mỹ".

Trong cuộc điện đàm hồi tháng 7, Trump được cho là đă hối thúc Zelensky điều tra Joe Biden, ứng viên hàng đầu của đảng Dân chủ trong cuộc đua vào Nhà Trắng năm 2020, để phục vụ mục đích chính trị cá nhân. Nếu Hạ viện cuối cùng thông qua luận tội Trump, một phiên xử ở Thượng viện sẽ được kích hoạt. Tuy nhiên, Trump sẽ chỉ bị phế truất nếu 2/3 thượng nghị sĩ bỏ phiếu chống lại ông - điều khó có thể xảy ra do phe Cộng ḥa đang kiểm soát Thượng viện.

Cũng lạ hỉ: tại sao Ivanka lại "chơi" cha ḿnh kém kiến thức nhỉ ? Trump mà viết được những lời copy của Jefferson là trời sập wá ! C̣n Ivanka th́:

1. cũng hơi tửng tửng, v́ cứ tưởng ḿnh là cha nên nhắn nhủ với đứa con là Trump ??? Đâu có truyền thống và văn hóa nào bắt con cái fải bênh vực cha mẹ khi họ làm sai ? Đạo đức và luật pháp bỏ chó ăn rồi sao, Ivanka ??

2. Trump bị điều tra là cả nhà lănh đủ ! Trời ơi, công lao mới kư được vài thương vụ béo bở với Tập heo...giờ tan thành mây khói mà c̣n vướng ṿng lao lư nữa, bảo sao mà 0 lo sợ ??
