Old  Default Minnesota yêu cầu xét nghiệm SARS-CoV-2 toàn bộ người biểu t́nh
Thống đốc bang Minnesota Walz đề nghị tất cả những người tham gia biểu t́nh sau cái chết của George Floyd đều phải được làm xét nghiệm nCoV.

"Bất cứ ai tham gia tuần hành đều nên xét nghiệm nCoV. Nếu bạn nghĩ ḿnh có nguy cơ, hăy tiến hành xét nghiệm 5 ngày sau sự kiện này. Nếu kết quả là âm tính, hăy tiếp tục xét nghiệm lại 14 ngày sau sự kiện", Thống đốc Minnesota Tim Walz đăng trên Twitter hôm 4/6.

Walz cũng đăng kèm thông tin từ cơ quan y tế bang Minnesota về cách người dân tại đây có thể đăng kư làm xét nghiệm nCoV.

Tuyên bố của Thống đốc Walz được đưa ra vài ngày sau khi Vệ binh Quốc gia Minnesota phát hiện một thành viên nhiễm nCoV và 9 người có triệu chứng nhiễm virus khi tham gia ứng phó các cuộc biểu t́nh.

Lực lượng này đă triển khai gần 7.000 thành viên để hỗ trợ cảnh sát đối phó với các cuộc biểu t́nh sau cái chết của Floyd và đang phải lên kế hoạch xét nghiệm nCoV cho tất cả binh sĩ làm nhiệm vụ. Hiện chưa rơ thời gian vệ binh nhiễm nCoV được xác nhận dương tính và mức độ tương tác của người này với đồng nghiệp và người dân.

Tiến sĩ David Eisenman, giám đốc Trung tâm Sức khỏe Cộng đồng và Thảm họa tại Đại học California, Los Angeles, cho biết xét nghiệm diện rộng tất cả những người đă tham gia biểu t́nh sẽ là ch́a khóa để đảm bảo nCoV không lây lan sang các cộng đồng mới.

Theo dữ liệu từ Covid Tracking Project, bang Minnesota đă thực hiện khoảng 258.747 xét nghiệm nCoV kể từ 6/3.

Nhà dịch tễ học Bob Bednarchot tại Đại học Emory, bang Georgia, cho biết các hoạt động như la hét, hô hoán trong các cuộc biểu t́nh có thể khiến nCoV lây lan trầm trọng hơn. Ông cũng lo ngại việc xịt hơi cay vào người biểu t́nh có thể khiến họ ho sặc và tạo điều kiện cho virus lan nhanh hơn nữa.

Các cuộc biểu t́nh sau cái chết của Floyd, người đàn ông da màu bị cảnh sát gh́ chết, đă nâng lên thành biểu t́nh đ̣i công lư cho cộng đồng người da màu và lan tới ít nhất 140 thành phố ở Mỹ.
