Một số nguồn tin nói rằng tỷ phú Jeffrey Epstein tự tử, sau khi phát hiện tỷ phú 'ấu dâm' Mỹ Jeffrey Epstein chết trong pḥng giam vào lúc 7h30 ngày 10/8 tại New York, khi phải chịu giam giữ mà không được tại ngoại.

Người này đang bị giam giữ để chờ xét xử về tội buôn bán nô lệ t́nh dục, theo BBC.

Theo Reuters, một số hăng truyền thông của Mỹ nói rằng Epstein đă tự tử trong pḥng giam.

Trước đó, tỷ phú Epstein kháng cáo tội danh này và phải chịu giam giữ mà không được tại ngoại.

Epstein bị bắt giữ tại New York ngày 6/7 v́ tội buôn bán nô lệ t́nh dục, phần lớn là trẻ vị thành niên.

Theo Daily Beast, đường dây của Epstein buôn bán hàng chục nô lệ t́nh dục tuổi vị thành niên tại New York và Florida từ năm 2002 đến 2005.

Trong quá khứ, tỷ phú 66 tuổi này đă bị buộc tội xâm hại hàng chục bé gái ở Florida. Hắn dụ dỗ các bé gái 14-15 tuổi phục vụ massage cho ḿnh, rồi cưỡng hiếp các nạn nhân.

Năm 2008, hắn đạt thỏa thuận miễn truy tố với nhà chức trách thành phố Miami. Epstein thừa nhận tội danh đề nghị mua dâm, lĩnh án tù 13 tháng và bị đưa vào danh sách tội phạm t́nh dục.

Tuy nhiên, thỏa thuận đó, kư với Bộ trưởng Lao động Alexander Acosta, cho phép Epstein ra khỏi cơ sở giam giữ 6 ngày trong tuần để đến nơi làm việc. Hồi tháng hai, một thẩm phán ở Florida ra phán quyết khẳng định thỏa thuận này là vi hiến.

Hôm 24/7, truyền thông Mỹ đưa tin ông Epstein được t́m thấy trong trạng thái bất tỉnh và chấn thương cổ trong một nhà tù ở Manhattan, thành phố New York. Một số nguồn tin c̣n cho biết mặt ông bị bầm tím. New York Post đưa tin ông phải nhập viện, nhưng chưa rơ ông được đưa đi đâu và trong điều kiện nào. Và cũng chưa rơ ông bị thương như thế nào.

Hmmm.. More likely he was taken out for knowing too much about too many famous people..
