Một bản kiến nghị yêu cầu Thị trưởng New York Bill de Blasio và các nhà lãnh đạo thành phố khác đổi tên đoạn đường Đại lộ Năm giữa đường 56 và 57 theo tên cựu Tổng thống Barack Obama, bởi hơn 80.000 người đã ký bản kiến nghị này kêu gọi thành phố New York đổi tên một phần của Đại lộ Năm ở Manhattan - nơi có Tháp Trump.


Nếu kiến nghị thành công, Tháp Trump, trái tim của đế chế bất động sản của Tổng thống Donald Trump và nơi cư trú lâu dài của ông sẽ mang địa chỉ mới: 725 Đại lộ Tổng thống Barack H. Obama.


Bản kiến nghị trên MoveOn.org đã thu hút một số người nổi tiếng ủng hộ, bao gồm diễn viên Patricia Arquette và Marg Helgenberger. Bản kiến nghị yêu cầu Thị trưởng New York Bill de Blasio và các nhà lãnh đạo thành phố khác đổi tên đoạn đường Đại lộ Năm giữa đường 56 và 57 theo tên ông Obama để vinh danh những thành tựu của ông trên cương vị tổng thống.

Los Angeles gần đây đã đổi tên một đoạn đường cao tốc gần trung tâm thành phố theo tên Obama, trang kiến nghị MoveOn.org cho biết.

"Chúng tôi yêu cầu Thị trưởng thành phố New York và Hội đồng thành phố làm điều tương tự bằng cách đổi tên một đoạn Đại lộ Năm theo cựu tổng thống người có nhiều thành tựu bao gồm: cứu quốc gia của chúng ta khỏi cuộc Đại suy thoái; phục vụ hai nhiệm kỳ hoàn toàn không có scandal; và tiêu diệt Osama bin Laden, kẻ chủ mưu sau vụ 11/9 đã giết chết hơn 30.000 người New York", bản kiến nghị viết.

Elizabeth Rowin, người tổ chức kiến nghị, nói với Newsweek rằng ban đầu cô phát động chiến dịch này "như một trò đùa". Nhưng sau đó, khi cô tiếp cận Hội đồng Thành phố, một số người đã hồi đáp với đảm bảo rằng họ sẽ xem xét bản kiến nghị.

Tuy nhiên, Newsweek lưu ý kiến nghị của Rowin không đáp ứng một yêu cầu quan trọng đối với việc đổi tên đường phố ở New York về việc vinh danh người đã khuất.

Rowin cho biết cô tự tin rằng các quy tắc có thể được điều chỉnh trong trường hợp này.

"Tôi chắc chắn các điều kiện có thể được thay đổi. Có hai đường phố ở L.A. được đặt theo tên của cựu Tổng thống Obama. Những luật này không bị bó buộc và có thể được thay thế", cô nói.

Cũng nên lắm chứ!Để cho chó ghẻ đít đen luôn nằm bênh cạnh làm con chó trung thành sớm tối, để bảo vệ tài sản cho chủ nhân của nó, cũng có ý nghĩa lắm chứ! Cứ chỗ nào có Trump Tower đều đem bầy chó MỰC đến canh và bảo vệ tài sản cho Trump, nghĩ lại cũng là ý kiến không tồi!Mình ủng hộ và mở lon làm tiệc lớn!

Đặt tên cho con đường trước Walmart là Trump Avenue, vậy là ai cũng có được nomination tên đường thôi, khỏi hờn giận nhau...

Ông Trump còn khá hơn ở chỗ là mỗi năm lại được dân chúng đến đặt vòng hoa lên mình.

Em thấy chuyện vui không phải là chuyện nước Mỹ mà là chuyện người Việt Nam cái gì cũng chửi được hết chửi chuyện thiên hạ lại quây sang chửi nhau,có lẽ cái "văn hóa chưi" đã ngắm sau vào trong máu của một dân tộc có 4000 năm để chửi mà không hết!
Xin các "thánh chửi" nghĩ chửi 5 phút để nhìn về để nghĩ lại một dân tộc ly hương ly tán chia rẽ trong thì giặc Cộng ngoài thì giặc Tàu,các bác có bao giờ sáng ra ngồi nghĩ ...Việt Nam tôi đâu!?.

Tuy rằng đương kim của nước Mỹ, nhưng trong đầu thì lúc nào cũng "White Power, còn người thiểu số là "dirt" ". Trước kia, bị quá xấu hổ trong bửa tiệc Thanksgiving tại Toà Bạch Ốc, nên muốn bóp cổ đối phương cho đến chết bằng mọi giá để trả thù khi có cơ hội. Còn rất nhiều chuyện nữa...
