Tổng Thống Donald Trump tuyên bố rằng ông có “cả trăm tấm h́nh” cựu giám đốc FBI James Comey và điều tra viên đặc biệt Robert Mueller “ôm và hôn nhau” (hugging and kissing), trong khi đó cơ quan điều tra liên bang Mỹ (FBI) nói không kiếm ra được h́nh ảnh nào như vậy.

Theo bản tin của The Hill, kư giả Jason Leopold của BuzzFeed News hôm Thứ Ba, ngày 23 Tháng Mười, công bố qua Twitter thư trả lời của Bộ Tư Pháp Mỹ sau khi ông Leopold dùng Luật Tự Do Tin Tức (Freedom of Information Act – FOIA) để yêu cầu cơ quan FBI cung cấp các h́nh ảnh cho thấy hai ông Mueller và Comey “ôm và hôn nhau.”

Cơ quan FBI nói họ đă t́m kiếm nhưng không hề thấy có h́nh ảnh nào như ông Leopold yêu cầu.

Cơ quan FBI nói thêm rằng có ba cấp hồ sơ của cơ quan công lực và an ninh t́nh báo quốc gia không bị luật FOIA chi phối. Tuy nhiên, FBI nói rằng điều đó “không nên được xem là có hay không có các tin tức này.”

Thư FBI trả lời cho nhà báo, nói không thấy có h́nh hai ông Mueller và Comey “ôm và hôn nhau”. (H́nh: Twitter)

Ông Comey, người bị Tổng Thống Trump giải nhiệm khỏi chức vụ giám đốc FBI hồi Tháng Năm 2017, đưa ra lời nói diễu trên Twitter rằng vợ ông “thấy thật nhẹ nhơm” sau khi biết về kết quả t́m kiếm này.

Thư trả lời của Bộ Tư Pháp Mỹ đề ngày 17 Tháng Mười, chỉ sáu tuần sau khi ông Trump tuyên bố trong cuộc phỏng vấn ngày 4 Tháng Chín dành cho The Daily Caller, rằng hai ông Mueller và Comey, từng làm việc chung với nhau tại cơ quan FBI là “bạn rất thân với nhau” để than phiền rằng ông Mueller như vậy là có trái ngược quyền lợi khi điều tra can dự của Nga vào bầu cử Mỹ năm 2016.

Ông Comey diễu trên Twitter rằng vợ ông “nhẹ nhơm” khi biết không hề có tấm h́nh nào. (H́nh: Twitter)

Ông Trump nói với cơ quan truyền thông có khuynh hướng bảo thủ The Daily Caller rằng: “Ông ta là bạn thân của Comey. Và tôi có thể cho bạn 100 tấm h́nh chụp ông ta và Comey ôm, hôn nhau. Ông ta là bạn thân của Comey mà.”

Hai ông Comey và Mueller từng làm việc chung với nhau tại Bộ Tư Pháp vào những năm đầu 2000.

Tuy nhiên, cho đến nay không hề có chứng cớ ǵ cho thấy hai ông này là “bạn thân với nhau” hay mối quan hệ của họ ảnh hưởng tới công việc của điều tra viên đặc biệt. (V.Giang)

Không hiểu sao FBI tự dưng lại phải có cái trách nhiệm đi t́m tấm h́nh đó thay v́ ông Trump.

Đáng lẽ ra khi Trump tuyên bố có 100 tấm h́nh như vậy, th́ FBI phải chụp ngay đầu Trump đè xuống điều tra liền, hỏi rằng --> "H́nh đâu? Hay là fake news?"
