Trong đơn từ chức của John Bolton chỉ có vỏn vẹn 2 câu. Đơn từ chức của Cố vấn An ninh Quốc gia Mỹ John Bolton chỉ có hai câu, ngắn hơn thông báo sa thải ông trên Twitter của Trump.

"Thưa ngài Tổng thống, tôi sau đây xin từ chức, có hiệu lực ngay lập tức, khỏi vị trí trợ lư Tổng thống về Các vấn đề An ninh quốc gia. Cảm ơn ngài v́ đă cho tôi cơ hội được phụng sự đất nước", Bolton viết trong đơn từ chức gửi Tổng thống Donald Trump sáng 10/9.

Nội dung đơn từ chức của Bolton thậm chí c̣n ngắn hơn bài đăng Twitter của Trump để thông báo việc sa thải ông. "Đêm qua tôi thông báo cho John Bolton rằng vai tṛ của ông ấy không c̣n cần thiết ở Nhà Trắng. Tôi cũng như nhiều người khác trong chính quyền bất đồng với nhiều đề nghị của ông ấy, do đó tôi đă yêu cầu John từ chức và ông ấy đă nộp đơn vào sáng nay. Tôi cảm ơn John rất nhiều v́ sự phụng sự của ông ấy. Tôi sẽ chỉ định Cố vấn An ninh Quốc gia mới vào tuần tới", Tổng thống Mỹ cho hay.

Khi các quan chức cấp cao khác rời chính quyền Trump, họ thường viết những lá thư dài để ca ngợi Tổng thống. Bolton, người bị Trump cho thôi chức một cách đột ngột và không bằng những lời lẽ mang tính ngoại giao, dường như cảm thấy không cần thiết phải làm vậy.

Bolton cũng bác bỏ việc ông bị Tổng thống sa thải. "Tôi đă đề nghị từ chức. Tổng thống chưa bao giờ yêu cầu điều đó, dù trực tiếp hay gián tiếp", Bolton nói. Trong khi đó, thư kư báo chí Nhà Trắng Stephanie Grisham và Ngoại trưởng Mike Pompeo đều nói rằng Trump đă yêu cầu Bolton từ chức.

Charlie Kupperman, Phó cố vấn an ninh quốc gia, sẽ giữ vai tṛ quyền Cố vấn An ninh quốc gia cho đến khi người thay thế Bolton được công bố.

Sự ra đi của Bolton diễn ra trong bối cảnh xuất hiện nhiều thông tin cho rằng ông xung đột với Trump và các quan chức cấp cao khác trong Nhà Trắng về một loạt chính sách đối ngoại, bao gồm các cuộc đàm phán ḥa b́nh với Taliban. Ông là cố vấn an ninh quốc gia thứ ba của Trump và là một trong nhiều quan chức rời chính quyền kể từ khi Trump nhậm chức đầu năm 2017.

Tuy viết gần đúng, nhưng già hề đầu bạc này vẫn c̣n ngố quá, làm sao tui dám giao trọng trách giữ ǵn tiếng Việt cho lăo đây?

Sửa 2 chữ "xă giao" lại thành "thủ tục", rồi ngồi đó ngẫm nghĩ tại sao như vậy.

Xă giao khỉ khô ǵ lúc đó. Hơi đâu chứ!

Bác nangsom... chắc chắn là không cần thiết rồi đó.

Chỉ kẹt là quậy nồi cà ri tùm lum nước văng tứ tung ra ngoài hết, th́ kẹt quá đành phải đổ thêm nước vô lại cho đủ mà thôi.

Mà giờ chót chêm thêm nước lạnh vô kiểu đó nó lờ lợ biến thành nồi lẩu khó ăn thí mồ hahaaa...

Not sure what he wrote 'cause did not read it, but my guess is he wrote his resignation as follows: "Your mouth is stink and smell worse than your @ss. I quit!"

Then he walked out of the Quai Hao with the middle finger pointed at the Quai Hao.

I can tell, he's pissed off.
