These instructions' sets are too old. The easy way to softmod any region Wii is to use ModMii which is readily available - Google it.

1) Install the ModMii Installer app, answer a few questions about what channels you want, region & menu version, MAC address and etc....

2) Afterwards, ModMii will DL all the needed files to your HD/SD/uSD - use your mobile data, a friend's comp or the public library connection

3) All you have to do next is to copy the DL files to your SD/uSD card which must now be inserted/used in the Wii slot.

4) Follow the onscreen directions - it also have guided video links

5) Should take you less than 40" to softmod, including NAND backup & verification - NO NEED for Wii to be connected to the Net

6) For Wii wbfs and any other needed help, go to Wiihacks.com - a plethora of info

Good luck - a 500 GB HD will allow you to have approx 240-250 scrubbed games. 500 GB HD cost = $50 & 4 GB uSD w/ adapter cost = $6. A new Wii cost $100

This is for hacking your wii. No more buying games or seeing bought games malfunction, just DL the games to your HD and play. The wii is now an extinct console - no longer in production by Nintendo!

This is way easier than Jtag an XBox 360! But nothing can be easiest as compare to hacking the Nintendo DS ....... Dam, waiting for the XBox One or PS 4 hacks.
