Một cuộc điều tra nhắm vào việc Tổng thống Trump hồi tháng 7 đă gọi điện thoại hối thúc tổng thống của Ukraine điều tra đối thủ chính trị là cựu Phó Tổng thống Mỹ Joe Biden, khiến dân biểu Hoa Kỳ gốc Việt duy nhất trong Hạ viện Hoa Kỳ Stephanie Murphy chính thức ủng hộ về cuộc điều tra luận tội nhắm vào Tổng thống Donald Trump, chấm dứt sự dè dặt của bà về một vấn đề chính trị gây tranh căi mà bà từng b́nh luận một cách cẩn trọng suốt nhiều tháng qua.

Dân biểu Hoa Kỳ Stephanie Murphy là nghị sĩ Đảng Dân chủ trong Hạ viện Hoa Kỳ, đại diện Địa hạt Quốc hội 7 ở bang Florida.

Bà Murphy, nghị sĩ Đảng Dân chủ từ bang Florida có lập trường ôn ḥa, là tiếng nói mới nhất từ nhóm những dân biểu có kinh nghiệm về an ninh quốc gia lên tiếng ủng hộ cuộc điều tra luận tội. Họ được cho là những thành viên có sức ảnh hưởng đáng kể tới quyết định của Chủ tịch Hạ viện Nancy Pelosi mở cuộc điều tra hôm thứ Ba.

Cuộc điều tra nhắm vào việc ông Trump hồi tháng 7 đă gọi điện thoại hối thúc tổng thống của Ukraine điều tra đối thủ chính trị là cựu Phó Tổng thống Mỹ Joe Biden, người đang dẫn trước ông Trump trong các cuộc khảo sát ư kiến công chúng về một cuộc đối đầu khả dĩ giữa hai người trong cuộc bầu cử tổng thống năm 2020.

Một bản tóm tắt cuộc điện đàm này được Nhà Trắng công bố hôm thứ Tư cũng cho thấy ông Trump gợi ư với ông Volodymyr Zelenskiy tiến hành cuộc điều tra trong sự phối hợp với bộ trưởng tư pháp Mỹ và luật sư riêng của ông Trump.

“Bản ghi chú của Nhà Trắng về cuộc gọi của Tổng thống với Ukraine xác nhận Tổng thống đă yêu cầu một chính phủ nước ngoài điều tra đối thủ chính trị của ḿnh,” bà Murphy viết trong một phát biểu đăng trên Twitter.
“Đó là sự lạm dụng quyền lực hành pháp. Tôi ủng hộ cuộc điều tra luận tội đang diễn tiến của Hạ viện để t́m ra những dữ kiện cho người dân Mỹ.”

Trước đó một ngày, bà Murphy gọi hành động của ông Trump là “vi phạm lời thề nhậm chức” và “gây nguy hại cho an ninh quốc gia của chúng ta” nhưng không trực tiếp tuyên bố sự ủng hộ của bà dành cho cuộc điều tra luận tội.

Trong một cuộc phỏng vấn với VOA vào tháng 11 năm ngoái, bà Murphy - tên tiếng Việt là Đặng Thị Ngọc Dung - bày tỏ dè dặt về việc luận tội ông Trump dù câu hỏi khi đó liên quan tới cuộc điều tra của Công tố viên đặc biệt Robert Mueller nhắm vào những liên hệ giữa ban vận động tranh cử Trump và Nga.

“Tôi tin rằng khi chúng ta nói về việc luận tội, phải có chứng cứ không thể chối căi đáp ứng được ngưỡng trọng tội và hành vi bất chính đáng trước khi chúng ta nên xem xét bàn tới việc luận tội,” bà nói.

Vụ việc mới nhất nảy sinh sau khi một người tố cáo tiêu cực từ trong cộng đồng t́nh báo Mỹ đệ đơn khiếu nại liên quan tới cuộc nói chuyện của ông Trump và ông Zelenskiy.

Các thành viên của hai ủy ban T́nh báo Hạ viện và Thượng viện đă được cho xem đơn khiếu nại này trong pḥng kín hôm thứ Tư. Quyền Giám đốc T́nh báo Quốc Joseph Maguire sẽ ra điều trần công khai trước Ủy ban T́nh báo Hạ viện vào ngày thứ Năm.

có phải người Việt không đó, tên và dóc dáng có ǵ là Việt đâu, bỏ tên Việt để theo tên Mỷ giống như dấu gốc Việt mà.
