Quá lo sợ về t́nh h́nh kinh tế ảm đạm của nước Mỹ trong tương lại do cơn dịch Sars-Cov 2 gây ra khi t́nh trạng giới nghiêm đă được ban hành trên nhiều tiểu bang, tổng thống Mỹ, ông Donald Trump đă gửi đi một tin nhắn trên mạng xă hội Twitter như sau:

"- Chúng ta không thể để cho phương pháp chữa trị làm tệ hại hơn bản chất thật sự của vấn đề"

Tin nhắn trên được gửi đi vào khuya ngày 22.03.2020, trong đó ông nói thêm rằng: "- Khi thời hạn 15 ngày giới nghiêm chấm dứt, chúng ta sẽ có một quyết định đi theo hướng nào. Không thể để cho cách chữa trị làm tồi tệ hơn chính vấn đề".

Tin nhắn này được đưa ra vào lúc cơn đại dịch Sars-Cov 2 vẫn đang tiếp tục lây, nhiễm không ngừng, tiểu bang New York đă trở thành tâm dịch với sự ước đoán là 5% số người bị nhiễm trên toàn thế giới.

Suy thoái kinh tế gây ra bởi cơn đại dịch này bắt nguồn từ các chính sách phải giới nghiêm, cô lập xă hội, đóng cửa rất nhiều các giao dịch kinh tế của Mỹ, gây ra những tác động hủy hoại dẫn đến t́nh trạng thất nghiệp trong quư 2 năm 2020 của Mỹ được dự đoán là 20% - 30%. Chỉ số Dow Jones Industry (DJI) chỉ trong 5 tuần mất hơn 27%, từ 29.500 điểm xuống c̣n 18.500 ngày 23.03.2020.

Một số các nhà lănh đạo địa phương cho biết việc giới nghiêm, đóng cửa các nhà hàng, rạp ci-nê, quán rượu, các tụ điểm ca nhạc, tập thể dục... có thể kéo dài vài tuần đến hàng tháng.

Tuy nhiên vào sáng thứ hai 23.03.2020, ông Trump tiếp tục gửi lại những tin nhắn vào một số tài khoản yêu cầu nới lỏng giới nghiêm, giảm bớt những hạn chế, cho phép người Mỹ trở lại làm việc. Điều đó cho thấy ông Trump bắt đầu lo lắng, mất kiên nhẫn trước những báo cáo ảm đạm về kinh tế, trực tiếp đe dọa hi vọng tái đắc cử của ông trong nhiệm kỳ 2.

"- Đúng 15 ngày! Sau đó chúng tôi sẽ giữ những nhóm người có nguy cơ lây nhiễm cao, bảo vệ họ khi cần thiết, những người khác sẽ trở lại làm việc". Một người có tài khoản Twitter cho biết Trump đă gửi lại tin nhắn như vậy.

Trump cũng đăng lai tin nhắn của Dawn Michael một nữ bác sĩ trị liệu sinh lư, người mà Trump thường khuếch đại các tweet của bà rằng "nỗi sợ hăi không thể làm sụp đổ nền kinh tế của chúng ta".

Dawn Michael viết rằng: " Chúng tôi, những người dân đủ thông minh để tránh xa người khác nếu biết rằng chúng tôi đang bị bệnh hoặc họ bị bệnh - tiếc thay. không phải ai cũng được thử nghiệm để biết ḿnh có bệnh hay không – sau ngày, thế giới sẽ bắt đầu b́nh phục.

Ông Trump cũng đă đưa cựu giám đốc hội đồng cố vấn kinh tế Kevin Hassett trở lại làm việc trong vai tṛ cố vấn. Hassett nói rằng "Để tránh một cuộc đại suy thoái, có thể chính phủ phải xem xét biện pháp đưa mọi người trở lại làm việc ở một thời điểm thích hợp." - Thế nào là thời điểm thích hợp, chắc chỉ có ông Trump, Hassett và vài người trong nội các mới có khả năng thẩm định.

Phó tổng thống Mike Pence cũng thông báo trong một buổi họp ngày chủ nhật 22.03.2020 rằng Trung Tâm Kiểm Soát và Pḥng Ngừa Dịch sẽ ban hành các hướng dẫn mới cho phép người lao động đă tự cách ly hoặc từng tiếp xúc với virus được nhanh chóng trở lại làm việc nhưng phải đeo khẩu trang.

Điều lệ hướng dẫn kết hợp với giọng điệu của ôngTrump cho thấy khó ḷng tránh khỏi một cuộc xung đột giữa ông Trump - người cột chặt sự phát triển kinh tế mạnh mẽ vào sự nghiệp chính trị của ḿnh trong lần bầu cử tháng 11 năm nay – với các chuyên gia y tế công cộng, những người quan niệm rằng cách ly xă hội và thay đổi lối sống hàng ngày trong nhiều tuần hoặc nhiều tháng là biện pháp duy nhất và tốt nhất để chặn đứng cơn dịch, giảm số người lây nhiễm và người chết.

Sáng sớm ngày thứ hai, Savannah Guthrie, người dẫn chương tŕnh của Today đă hỏi ông Jerome Adams bác sĩ giải phẫu tổng quát về tin nhắn của tổng thống Trump và biết chắc rằng ông Adams đă tuyên bố trong tuần trước là việc cách ly xă hội phải kéo dài hơn 15 ngày. Ông Adams nói rằng:

"Nghe có vẻ giống như tổng thống đang thẩm định chấm dứt việc cách ly xă hội sau 15 ngày. Có vẻ như chúng ta đang làm ǵ đó để chấm dứt những điều tồi tệ hơn là do con vi khuẩn gây ra. Suy nghĩ đó từ đâu đến vậy?"

Adams nói thêm: "- Tôi hiện diện ở đây với tư cách là bác sĩ của đất nước, phục vụ nước Mỹ và để hiểu rằng chúng ta phải phản ứng ra sao trong t́nh trạng hiện nay. Càng nh́n sâu vào vấn đề tôi càng thấy rơ rằng vấn đề thật nghiệm trọng khi từng ngày từng phút trôi qua nhiều người vẫn coi thường sự nguy hiểm khi người ta vẫn vui đùa tụ họp ở bải biển ở California hay ngắm hoa anh đào nở ở thủ đô Washington D.C.

Các chuyên gia y tế cho biết rằng việc cách ly xă hội có thể không cho thấy kết quả ngay tức khắc về việc chặn đứng cơn dịch, giảm thiểu số người chết nhưng nếu không thực hiện th́ không thể nào chặn đứng được cơn dịch.

Trump lo là phải..nếu để suy thoái kinh tế nặng th́ ảnh hưởng tới cái ghế 4 năm...c̣n ngược lại th́ dịch sẽ lang nặng hơn nửa..bài toán khó cho trump.
