Bà Nancy Pelosi đưa ra cáo buộc sau khi Nhà Trắng gửi bà một bức thư chỉ trích tiến tŕnh điều tra luận tội mang tính đảng phái, không chính đáng và vi hiến.



Theo AFP, Chủ tịch Hạ viện Mỹ Nancy Pelosi ngày 8/10 đă cáo buộc Nhà Trắng mưu đồ bất chính ḥng che giấu sự thật, sau khi Nhà Trắng từ chối hợp tác trong cuộc điều tra luận tội Tổng thống Donald Trump.

Phát biểu trên được bà Pelosi đưa ra sau khi Nhà Trắng gửi bà một bức thư chỉ trích tiến tŕnh điều tra luận tội mang tính đảng phái, không chính đáng và vi hiến.

Bà tuyên bố: "Bức thư này rơ sàng sai trái và đơn thuần là một mưu đồ bất chính khác ḥng che giấu sự thật về những nỗ lực của chính quyền Tổng thống Trump nhằm gây sức ép đối với các nước để can thiệp vào các cuộc bầu cử năm 2020 ở Mỹ."

Nhà Trắng ngày 8/10 đă gửi thư bác bỏ bất kỳ việc phối hợp nào từ chính quyền Tổng thống Donald Trump đối với cuộc điều tra luận tội của đảng Dân chủ, khẳng định cuộc điều tra này là "không có hiệu lực căn cứ theo hiến pháp."

Trong bức thư dài 8 trang gửi các lănh đạo đảng Dân chủ, được luật sư Nhà Trắng Pat Cipollone kư kết, chính quyền Tổng thống Trump đă bác bỏ toàn bộ tiến tŕnh điều tra đang diễn ra tại Hạ viện nhằm đánh giá xem liệu Tổng thống Trump có lạm quyền khi t́m cách tiến hành điều tra tham nhũng ở Ukraine đối với đối thủ Joe Biden của cuộc bầu cử vào năm sau hay không.

Bức thư có đoạn "Tổng thống Trump không thể cho phép chính quyền tham gia cuộc điều tra có tính đảng phái này trong bối cảnh hiện nay" và rằng "cuộc điều tra thiếu cơ sở hiến pháp hợp pháp," đặc biệt là yếu tố Hạ viện đă không tiến hành biểu quyết chính thức để tiến hành điều tra luận tội.
