White House Declares Pandemic Over As It Cites Renowned Scientist Ivanka Trump

Chính quyền TT Trump đă hân hoan tuyên bố chiến thắng đại dịch coronavirus vào hôm thứ Ba, một tuần trước cuộc bầu cử năm 2020 trong khi số ca nhiễm COVID-19 gia tăng trên khắp nước Mỹ.

Lời công bố dối trá được đưa ra trong một bản báo cáo dài 62 trang do Văn pḥng Chính sách Khoa học và Công nghệ Bạch Cung liệt kê những ǵ họ tuyên bố là những thành tựu khoa học và công nghệ trong nhiệm kỳ đầu tiên của Tổng thống Donald Trump. Danh sách bao gồm, “KẾT THÚC BỆNH DỊCH COVID-19.”

“Ngay từ đầu đại dịch COVID-19, chính quyền đă thực hiện các hành động quyết định để thu hút các nhà khoa học, chuyên gia y tế trong các học viện, ngành công nghiệp và chính phủ hiểu biết, điều trị và đánh bại căn bệnh này”, thông cáo viết.

Đại dịch c̣n lâu mới kết thúc. Nó đang hoành hành từ Miền Đông sang bờ Miền Tây nước Mỹ trong đó phản ứng xử lư sai lầm của chính quyền Trump. Một báo cáo gần đây từ Đại học Columbia ước tính rằng “sự thất bại ê chề” của các cơ quan chính phủ dưới thời Trump đă dẫn đến từ 130.000 đến 210.000 ca tử vong có thể tránh được do COVID-19.

The Trump administration triumphantly declared victory over the coronavirus pandemic on Tuesday, one week before the 2020 election and with COVID-19 cases surging across the country.

The lie came in a news release on a new 62-page report from the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy listing what it claims are the scientific and technological accomplishments during President Donald Trump’s first term. The list includes, “ENDING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.”

“From the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the administration has taken decisive actions to engage scientists and health professionals in academia, industry, and government to understand, treat, and defeat the disease,” the release states.

The pandemic is far from over. It is raging from coast to coast, thanks in no small part to the Trump administration’s mishandled response. A recent report from Columbia University estimates that the “abject failures” of government agencies under Trump resulted in between 130,000 and 210,000 avoidable deaths attributable to COVID-19.

As of Tuesday, the disease’s U.S. fatality toll topped 226,000 and the nation is averaging more than 70,000 new cases per day.
