"Tôi sẽ không ra lệnh cho Bộ Tư pháp như những ǵ Tổng thống Trump đang làm. Tôi sẽ để họ ra phán quyết độc lập", cựu phó tổng thống Joe Biden nói trong cuộc tranh luận thứ năm của các ứng viên tổng thống đảng Dân chủ tại thành phố Atlanta, bang Georgia hôm 20/11.
Biden cho rằng việc đưa ra phán quyết truy tố hay miễn tội ai không phải nhiệm vụ của tổng thống hay luật sư cho tổng thống, mà là vai tṛ của Bộ trưởng Tư pháp.

Đây không phải lần đầu tiên Biden nói về khả năng truy tố Trump. Ông từng đưa ra b́nh luận tương tự hồi tháng 7 sau khi cựu công tố viên đặc biệt Robert Mueller điều trần trước quốc hội về cuộc điều tra Nga can thiệp bầu cử tổng thống năm 2016. Trả lời đài phát thanh Iowa tháng trước, Biden cũng nói ông sẽ không tha cho Trump khỏi các cáo buộc nếu đắc cử.
Hạ viện do đảng Dân chủ dẫn đầu mở cuộc điều tra luận tội Trump từ tháng 9 sau khi một người tố giác giấu tên cáo buộc Tổng thống Mỹ hối thúc người đồng cấp Ukraine điều tra cha con Biden trong cuộc điện đàm ngày 25/7.
Khoảng một tuần trước cuộc điện đàm, Trump đă hoăn khoản viện trợ quân sự trị giá gần 400 triệu USD cho Ukraine, làm dấy lên đồn đoán về động cơ của ông chủ Nhà Trắng.Trump bác bỏ các cáo buộc, giải thích ông hoăn viện trợ v́ muốn các nước châu Âu khác cũng phải hỗ trợ Kiev.
Đại sứ Mỹ tại Liên minh Châu Âu (EU) Gordon Sondland hôm 20/11 ra điều trần trước quốc hội, cho biết đă làm việc với Rudy Giuliani, luật sư của Trump, để gây áp lực cho Ukraine điều tra cha con Biden "theo lệnh từ Tổng thống". Sondland cũng cho hay Ngoại trưởng Mỹ Mike Pompeo biết điều này và "hoàn toàn ủng hộ" những nỗ lực của họ trong việc gây sức ép lên Ukraine.

A new bombshell indictment against Nikolai Zlochevsky, the owner of Burisma, was made on Wednesday by Ukraine's Office of the Prosecutor General and reveals that Hunter Biden along with his partners received $16.5 million for their "services" with stolen money.
The comments were made during a press conference on Wednesday.

"Zlochevsky was charged with this new accusation by the Office of the Prosecutor General but the press ignored it," said MP Alexander Dubinsky. "It was issued on November 14."
"The son of Vice-President Joe Biden was receiving payment for his services, with money raised through criminal means and money laundering," he said, adding "Biden received money that did not come from the company’s successful operation but rather from money stolen from citizens."
Dubinsky says that the money Hunter Biden received from Burisma is a "link that reveals how money is siphoned [from Ukraine]."

"We will reveal the information about the financial pyramid scheme that was created in Ukraine and developed by everyone beginning with Yanukovich and later by Poroshenko. This system is still working under the guidance of the current managerial board of the National Bank, ensuring that money flows in the interest of people who stole millions of dollars, took it offshore and bought Ukrainian public bonds turning them into the Ukrainian sovereign debt," Dubinsky said, adding "in both cases of Yanukovich and Poroshenko, Ms. Gontareva and companies she controls were investing the stolen funds."

According to Interfax-Ukraine, MP Andriy Derkach announced at the same press conference that deputies have received new materials from investigative journalists alleging that the 'family' of ex-President Yanukovych funneled $7.4 billion through American investment firm Franklin Templeton Investments, which they claim have connections to the US Democratic party."
"Last week, November 14, the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO), unnoticed by the media, announced a new suspicion to the notorious owner of Burisma, ex-Ecology Minister Zlochevsky. According to the suspicion, the Yanukovych family is suspected, in particular, with legalizing (laundering) of criminally obtained income through Franklin Templeton Investments, an investment fund carrying out purchases of external government loan bonds totaling $7.4 billion," said Derkach, adding that the money was criminally obtained and invested in the purchase of Ukrainian debt in 2013 - 2014.
"The son of Templeton's founder, John Templeton Jr., was one of President Obama's major campaign donors. Another fund-related character is Thomas Donilon. Managing Director of BlackRock Investment Institute, shareholder Franklin Templeton Investments, which has the largest share in the fund. It is noteworthy that he previously was Obama's national security advisor," Derkach added.
Derkach then demanded "President Zelensky must pick up the phone, dial Trump, ask for help and cooperation in the fight against corruption and fly to Washington. The issue of combating international corruption in Ukraine with the participation of citizens, businessmen and U.S. officials should become a key during the meeting of the two presidents."
