Bị tước hết tự do báo chí như ở Việt Nam hay Trung Quốc th́ người ta dễ nhận biết, v́ nó hiển hiện, trực tiếp và có hậu quả nhăn tiền.

Biếm họa của báo Cleveland: Trump gọi báo NYT là “kẻ thù thật sự của nhân dân”, nhưng không lên tiếng ǵ về tay khủng bố nội địa Christopher Hanson, lên kế hoạch giết hàng loạt nhà báo, thẩm phán và các chính trị gia.
C̣n nói Donald Trump tấn công tự do báo chí khi ông gọi nhiều tờ báo (mà ông dán nhăn là “fake news”) là “kẻ thù của nhân dân” th́ lại gây tranh căi, v́ nó mơ hồ hơn, chưa thấy hậu quả ngay, và muốn hiểu th́ lại phải đi xuyên qua nhiều lớp thông tin vốn khá phức tạp về chính trị Mỹ.

Dĩ nhiên Donald Trump không phải là một nhà độc tài, ít nhất là cho đến nay. Nhưng cách Trump mỉa mai, đả kích báo chí một cách vô tội vạ, vô căn cứ với cách các chính quyền cộng sản tước đoạt tự do báo chí th́ lại phản ánh cùng một năo trạng của kẻ lănh đạo: muốn báo chí chỉ nói tốt cho ḿnh.

Từ “muốn báo chí chỉ nói tốt cho ḿnh” (vốn là bản năng của con người) tới “tấn công báo chí” (như Trump làm với New York Times, CNN hay cộng sản làm với các tờ báo lề trái) rồi tới “kiểm soát báo chí” (như cộng sản hiện đang làm, Trump chưa làm được) là một quăng đường chẳng ngắn, nhưng cũng không dài.

Ban đầu Trump chỉ chửi New York Times, CNN là “fake news”, nhưng gần đây đă chửi cả FoxNews (vốn thân Trump), khi FoxNews đưa tin bất lợi cho Trump. Những người ủng hộ Trump th́ có xu hướng gắn nhăn “thổ tả” cho báo chí cánh tả, nhưng họ không biết rằng trong vấn đề Trump vs. Báo chí th́ các báo cánh tả lẫn cánh hữu có uy tín ở Mỹ đều đứng về một phe, quyết chống lại sự tấn công của Trump. Ngay cả FoxNews cũng nhiều lần lên án Trump về chuyện này.
New York Times, CNN, FoxNews, Bloomberg đều có thiên kiến của họ, có đưa một số tin thất thiệt thật, nhưng điều đó không có nghĩa là một tổng thống nên tấn công làm xói ṃn thiết chế báo chí độc lập, v́ sau cùng th́ nó sẽ làm suy yếu nền dân chủ.

Với những người ủng hộ Trump ở Việt Nam th́ việc gọi một số tờ báo Mỹ là “fake news” có vẻ là một phong trào nhiều hơn là sự suy xét cẩn thận. Hơi khó tưởng tượng lại có nhiều người Việt Nam đến thế đọc báo tiếng Anh nhiều đến mức có khả năng biết báo nào thật, báo nào giả để mà gắn nhăn cho họ.

Và khi các tờ “thổ tả” đưa tin bất lợi cho chính quyền Việt Nam th́ không thấy ai gọi họ là “fake news” nữa. Việc đánh giá “Fake news” hay “Real news” dường như phụ thuộc vào định kiến chính trị có sẵn hơn là quan sát cẩn thận.

V́ có tự do ngôn luận nên chỉ chửi nhau, chứ nếu có quyền hạn to lớn hơn, th́ ÔNG TỔNG THỐNG TỰ DO LỚN NHẤT CỦA XỨ SỞ TỰ DO SẼ DẸP BỎ TỰ DO CỦA NGƯỜI DÂN VÔ THÙNG RÁC LIỀN!!!

Nghĩ cho cùng, Trump cũng đă và đang áp dụng thuyết hiện sinh của Sartre, Camus và Kirkegaard vào thập niên 1940, nhưng v́ rắc rối copyright nên đă tự ư đổi tên thành thuyết hiện śnh…con người chỉ được trọng vọng khi thức thời…

Chào bác hai lúa thangtram... nhiều posts quá nên tui cũng không nhớ. Bác hai lúa cứ theo dơi các bài rồi sẽ thấy bên ghét ông Trump th́ chỉ trích ổng hoài, rồi bên kia cũng phản pháo tặng bệnh "thổ tả" cho ai cự nự ông Trump.
