VBF-Đă có rất nhiều cảnh bảo về tác hại khi ăn ḿ tôm nhưng để từ bỏ thói quen này là điều không hề dễ đối với nhiều người. V́ vậy khi ăn th́ chúng ta nên chế biến ḿ sao cho đúng để tránh ảnh hưởng tới sức khỏe.
1. Rối loạn khớp xương hàm
Theo Livestrong, nhai kẹo cao su nhiều khiến xương hàm phải hoạt động nhiều, mệt mỏi, các khớp lệch khỏi vị trí, gây rối loạn khớp thái dương (TMJ). Điều này thường dẫn đến đau hàm, đau đầu và giảm sự vận động của khớp hàm.
2. Dị tật răng
Nhai kẹo cao su thường xuyên có thể phá hủy men răng và thay đổi khớp nhai. Răng hàm trên có xu hướng mở rộng trong khi hàm dưới sẽ thu hẹp lại. Các răng cửa trên cũng nhô ra phía trước, c̣n răng cửa dưới lại thụt vào trong, khiến cả hàm răng không đồng đều. Hơn nữa, khi men răng của bạn bị ṃn, chúng sẽ nhạy cảm hơn với thức ăn có tính axit, nóng hoặc lạnh.
3. Nhức đầu
Răng phải nhai thường xuyên sẽ dẫn đến hệ quả tất yếu là đau nhức cơ và xương hàm. Điều này gây phản ứng phụ là đau nhức đầu, cổ, khiến việc cử động đầu và cổ trở nên khó khăn hơn. T́nh trạng này sẽ càng phát triển nếu người nhai kẹo cao su bị căng thẳng.
4. Gây ung thư
Nhiều loại kẹo cao su có chứa aspartame, một loại đường nhân tạo có thể tạo ra formaldehyde được biết đến là chất gây ung thư trong cơ thể. Một số người cho biết, họ thường gặp tác dụng phụ như đau đầu, chóng mặt và thay đổi tâm trạng khi sử dụng kẹo cao su có chứa thành phần này.
5. Nhiễm độc thủy ngân
Nếu đang niềng răng hoặc hàn răng, bạn nên tránh nhai kẹo cao su, bởi trong các hỗn hợp hàn răng thường chứa bạc, thiếc và thủy ngân. Khi bạn nhai kẹo sẽ phá vỡ các hỗn hợp, giải phóng thủy ngân vào hệ thống tiêu hóa, thủy ngân là chất kịch độc đối đối với cơ thể người.
6. Nguy hiểm với trẻ nhỏ
Trẻ nhỏ rất dễ nuốt khi nhai kẹo cao su. Thành phần của loại kẹo này có gôm nên không tiêu hóa được và ở lại măi măi trong dạ dày, rất dễ bị tắc ruột, nguy hiểm tính mạng của trẻ.
