CBS News – Ứng cử viên hiện nay đang dẫn đầu trong thăm ḍ của Dân Chủ là cựu PTT Joe Biden hôm thứ ba 11/6 đi Iowa vận động tranh cử, cùng một lúc với TT Trump tại đây nhưng ở hai địa điểm khác nhau.

Được biết nội dung bài nói chuyện của ông Biden hôm nay với cử tri Iowa là các chủ đề như chuyện TT Trump là ‘mối đe dọa hiện hữu’ cho Hoa kỳ, vị trí của Hoa Kỳ trên thế giới và ư nghĩa của nền dân chủ.

Ông Biden hy vọng sẽ tŕnh bày với các cử tri có một tương phản sâu xa giữa ông và TT Trump trên nhiều lănh vực như thuế quan, khí hậu thay đổi và làm sao tái lập lại các ‘giá trị của Hoa Kỳ’

Năm nay đă 76 tuổi và chỉ mới tuyên bố ra tranh cử chưa đầy 2 tháng, ông Biden tự mô tả ḿnh là ứng cử viên Dân chủ duy nhất có khả năng đánh bại TT Trump trong năm bầu cử 2020.

Cựu PTT Biden tố cáo ‘chiến tranh mậu dịch mà TT Trump đă khơi mào với Trung Quốc đang làm chới với giới nông gia Hoa Kỳ’. Theo nhận định riêng của ông Biden, TT Trump hoàn toàn không đói hoài đến t́nh cảnh khó khăn của họ.

Ông Biden nói với các cử tri Iowa như sau: “Theo các bạn ông Trump sẽ mất ngủ mấy đêm về t́nh cảnh của nông gia Hoa kỳ? Câu trả lời là không có đêm nào cả, ông đối với họ th́ cũng y hệt như đối với các công nhân xây dựng lên các casinos và khách sạn của ông mà thôi”

Ông Biden cũng công kích mạnh mẽ các nhận định trước đây của TT Trump về thay đổi khí hậu như sau: “Nếu ông Trump cũng là một tay nhà giàu khác chỉ chăm chút lo cho căn pḥng dát vàng của ông ta ở Manhatan thay v́ để ư đến ư kiến các khoa học gia th́ cũng không sao, nhưng khổ nỗi ông ấy lại là TT Hoa Kỳ”
