Một nhà hàng ABC Chinese Cuisine trên đường I-70 Drive S.E đă phát hiện một thi thể người Việt ngă xuyên qua trần nhà hàng đă chết, sau khi cơ quan Mỹ cho biết họ đă xác định người chết là công dân Việt Nam nhưng không tiết lộ danh tính vào thời điểm đó.

Cảnh sát TP Columbia, thuộc bang Missouri, hôm 13-3 đă công bố tên của người đàn ông Việt Nam chết tại một nhà hàng Trung Quốc hồi tháng trước.

Theo đài ABC News, Nam Hoàng Le, 53 tuổi, được phát hiện đă tử vong bên trong nhà hàng ABC Chinese Cuisine trên đường I-70 Drive S.E. vào sáng 18-2.

Chủ nhà hàng Ming Sun Wong nói với đài ABC rằng ông ta phát hiện thi thể của Le khi mở cửa nhà hàng để kinh doanh vào sáng hôm đó.

Người chủ nói rằng Le đă ngă xuyên qua trần nhà và một phóng viên nh́n thấy máu khô trong gian bếp của nhà hàng.

Sở Cảnh sát Columbia cho biết cuộc điều tra cho thấy Le đă đột nhập nhà hàng có vẻ như định thực hiện một vụ trộm.

Trước đó, vào ngày 28-2, cơ quan trên cho biết họ đă xác định người chết là công dân Việt Nam nhưng không tiết lộ danh tính vào thời điểm đó v́ c̣n chờ thông báo cho người thân.

Đến hôm 13-3, Sở Cảnh sát Columbia nói rằng họ đă liên lạc với anh của Le tại Việt Nam thông qua một người phiên dịch và thông báo cho ông ta về vụ việc.

Có thể anh ta không muốn như thế,
nhưng v́ có thỏa thuận nào đó, để cho phố rùm thêm.
