Việc ông Trump bị cả khán pḥng cười ồ lên khi đang phát biểu trong cuộc họp mới đây đang là vấn đề đáng quan tâm. Rất có thể họ sẽ phải cảm thấy hối hận về điều này khi sớm vội cười nhạo ông Trump. Dưới đây là những dẫn chứng cho thấy rơ điều đó. Khán pḥng ĐHĐ LHQ đă cười rộ lên khi ông Trump khẳng định ḿnh thành công hơn bất cứ chính quyền Mỹ nào chỉ trong hơn năm rưỡi tại vị. Đó là tràng cười vang khắp thế giới và cho dù nó không khiến ông Trump lúng túng, ông vẫn dành đôi phút để hiểu chuyện ǵ vừa xảy ra.

Không lâu sau đó, Twitter và các kênh thời sự đăng lại một đoạn clip mà trong đó ông Trump chỉ trích chính quyền tiền nhiệm của Tổng thống Obama, rằng "họ (thế giới) đang cười nhạo chúng ta (nước Mỹ)". Nhưng người ta không nên coi thường ông Trump bởi như Đệ nhất Phu nhân Mỹ Melania Trump từng cảnh báo, "nếu bạn công kích ông ta, ông sẽ đáp trả gấp 10 lần."

Quả thực, từ ngày đầu tiên lên nắm quyền, thế giới đă biết đến những cú phản đ̣n rất "Trump". Sau lễ nhậm chức của ông Trump tháng 1/2017, mạng Internet đă tràn lan các bức ảnh so sánh với buổi lễ của ông Obama. Người ta dễ dàng nhận thấy đám đông dự lễ của ông Trump vắng hơn rất nhiều.

Nhưng khi phát biểu trước các quan chức t́nh báo tại trụ sở CIA ngày hôm sau, ông Trump cho rằng "có tới cả triệu, triệu rưỡi người" đă tới dự buổi lễ của ḿnh. Trong một động thái leo thang đối đầu với báo giới, các trợ lư và Người Phát ngôn Nhà Trắng cũng nhấn mạnh họ đơn giản chỉ đưa ra các "thông tin khác chiều" mà thôi.

Tương tự, tại một cuộc họp báo hai ngày sau bài phát biểu ở ĐHĐ LHQ tuần trước, ông Trump phản pháo: "Báo giới giả dối đưa tin người ta cười Tổng thống Trump. Họ không hề cười tôi. Họ đă chung vui cùng tôi.

Chúng tôi chung vui cùng nhau. Chúng tôi đă có những giây phút vui vẻ. Họ tôn trọng những ǵ tôi đă làm… Nước Mỹ đang lại được tôn trọng. Nước Mỹ từng không được tôn trọng. Các nước từng lợi dụng chúng tôi."

Thêm vào đó, có lẽ ông chủ Nhà Trắng không chỉ muốn ăn thua với giới truyền thông mà c̣n muốn thể hiện uy thế trước giới chính khách. Trong bài phát biểu của ḿnh, ông Trump cảnh báo: "Chúng tôi đang xem xét kỹ lưỡng các viện trợ nước ngoài của Mỹ... Từ nay, chúng tôi sẽ chỉ hỗ trợ các nước tôn trọng và thực sự là bạn chúng tôi."

Tại Thượng đỉnh G7 tại Canada, sau khi đột ngột rời đi sớm, ông Trump đă đăng một ḍng tweet và cáo buộc Thủ tướng nước chủ nhà Justin Trudeau là "thiếu trung thực và yếu đuối" v́ họp báo chỉ trích Mỹ sau khi ông đă rời đi.

Ông Trump cũng bóng gió rằng mâu thuẫn với ông Trudeau sẽ "tốn kém nhiều tiền của của người dân Canada." Đến cuộc họp vừa qua tại ĐHĐ LHQ, ông Trump đă từ chối gặp Thủ tướng Trudeau do Canada áp "thuế nhập khẩu quá cao" và thẳng thừng tuyên bố sẽ đáp trả bằng việc áp thuế đối với ôtô nhập từ Canada.Các lănh đạo thế giới cười nhạo ông Trump ở ĐHĐ LHQ cũng nên nhớ tới trường hợp của Thủ tướng Đức Angela Merkel. Kể từ trước khi làm Tổng thống Mỹ, ông Trump đă than phiền về số lượng lớn xe hơi Mercedes Benz trên những con phố của New York. Đến cuộc gặp đầu tiên tại Nhà Trắng, ông Trump đă từ chối bắt tay bà Merkel ngay trước mặt các phóng viên.

Tại Thượng đỉnh NATO ở Bỉ mùa Hè vừa rồi, Tổng thống Mỹ lại tiếp tục công kích Thủ tướng Đức v́ không chi tiêu đủ cho quốc pḥng, bất chấp việc hai nước là đồng minh quân sự thân thiết.Tương tự, tại cuộc họp ĐHĐ LHQ vừa qua, ông Trump đă chỉ trích đường ống dẫn dầu từ Nga sang Đức và khẳng định "Đức sẽ bị lệ thuộc hoàn toàn vào năng lượng của Nga" nếu như nước này không đổi hướng ngay lập tức.

Những mâu thuẫn giữa ông Trump và bà Merkel chủ yếu xuất phát từ quy định thương mại của EU mà trong đó Đức là một thành viên chủ chốt.

Tuy nhiên Tổng thống Mỹ tận dụng vấn đề quốc pḥng và năng lượng để tạo uy thế và áp lực đối với Thủ tướng Đức. Tổng thống Trump muốn sự tôn trọng, và ông không dễ dàng tha thứ. Có lẽ, đó là bài học xương cốt cho những ai đă trót cười ông Trump tại ĐHĐ LHQ.
