Trong khi hàng ngh́n người di cư tràn tới xin tị nạn th́ người dân địa phương lại đổ ra đường phản đối làn sóng di dân khiến cho thành phố Tijuana, cách biên giới Mỹ-Mexico 1,6km rơi vào t́nh trạng bất ổn.



Sau khi gần 3.000 người di cư Trung Mỹ vượt qua Mexico trong một nỗ lực để t́m đường đến biên giới nước Mỹ đă tràn ngập thành phố biên giới Tijuana, hàng trăm người dân địa phương đă xuống đường để phản đối sự xuất hiện của đoàn di dân này.
Những người dân địa phương đă mang theo quốc kỳ Mexico và hô vang các khẩu hiệu: "Hăy rời khỏi đây", "Chúng tôi không cần họ ở Tijuana", cũng như gọi đoàn người di cư là những kẻ "xâm lược".
Một trong những người biểu t́nh - Juana Rodriguez, nói rằng chính phủ cần tiến hành kiểm tra lư lịch của những người xin tị nạn để đảm bảo họ không phải tội phạm, trong khi một phụ nữ khác, Paloma, đă chỉ trích những người di cư đến Mexico để xin "của bố thí".
"Hăy để chính phủ của họ chăm sóc cho họ", cô Paloma nói với các phóng viên.
Trong một bài viết đăng trên Twitter hôm Chủ nhật, Tổng thống Donald Trump đă trích lại lời của Thị trưởng thành phố Tijuana - Juan Manuel Gastelum, rằng thành phố đă "không được chuẩn bị kĩ càng cho đoàn di dân".
"Thị trưởng Tijuana, Mexico, đă tuyên bố rằng ’Thành phố chưa chuẩn bị sẵn sàng để đón nhận nhiều người di cư như vậy, công việc tồn đọng có thể kéo dài 6 tháng’. Tương tự như vậy, Mỹ chưa chuẩn bị sẵn sàng cho cuộc xâm lược này và sẽ không chịu nổi. Họ đang gây ra những vấn đề lớn ở Mexico. Hăy về nhà!", Tổng thống Trump tuyên bố.
Thị trưởng Gastelum cũng nói rằng đă có 2.750 người di cư đến thành phố Tijuana cho đến nay, nhưng chính phủ liên bang Mexico đă ước tính con số cuối cùng có thể lên tới 10.000.
Trước làn sóng hàng ngh́n người di cư, chủ yếu là từ El Salvador, Honduras và Guatemala, đến Mỹ, chính quyền Tổng thống Trump đă ra lệnh cho khoảng 5,800 binh sĩ đến triển khai tại tới biên giới Mexico để ngăn chặn "cuộc xâm lược này".

Ông Trump đă nhiều lần nhấn mạnh rằng các đoàn di dân bao gồm các thành viên băng đảng sẽ đe dọa đến an ninh quốc gia của Mỹ.

Chính sách của Mỹ hồi trước và hiện tại bây giờ củaTT Trump luôn chấp nhận cứu xét cho người tịn nạn chính trị. Yes, Mẹ Nấm mới qua Mỹ đă chứng minh. Ngày xưa những người đi vượt biên ở trại tị nạn khi lên gặp phái đoàn Mỹ phỏng vấn họ hỏi lư do ǵ bạn rời khỏi VN? nếu bạn trả lời từ ngày CS chiếm miền nam VN gia đ́nh bạn buộc phải đi vùng kinh tế mới hay cuộc sống khổ sở nghèo đói…th́ sẽ bị phái đoàn Mỹ từ chối cái rụp! “ ra đi v́ lư do kinh tế”- c̣n bạn trả lời bị công an hay chính quyền CS đàn áp, bắt bớ không được tự do…hay ǵ đó…th́ bạn được chấp nhận định cư ở Mỹ v́ lư do tị nạn CS.

Vậy th́ mấy ngàn người di cư Trung Mỹ và dân Mễ muốn qua Mỹ họ thuộc dân tị nạn chính trị hay tị nạn kinh tế???

Những người thuộc đảng DC có ai lên tiếng chịu bảo lănh một vài gia đ́nh Trung Mỹ về nhà ḿnh sống không vậy???
