Old  Default Người phụ nữ gốc Việt muốn t́m lại gia đ́nh Vn sau 46 năm

Adopted to Switzerland 46 years ago and living happily with her family in Germany, Sandy Braun is still concerned about her Vietnamese roots.

Sandy Braun was taken to Switzerland by her adoptive parents in April 1975, after a period of living at the Anh Duc Hoi orphanage, is currently the headquarters of the Blind Association of Ho Chi Minh City at 185, Cong Quynh, District 1. Co the child less than one year old is too young to realize he has just left his homeland to live in a country thousands of miles away, with people who are not biological parents.

"My adoptive parents know a Swiss man in Saigon (he was a neighbor of my grandparents). He has an acquaintance of a Vietnamese woman and this woman knows someone at the camp. British Gymnastics orphans. This is how his adoptive parents find me, "Sandy told *********, but added that in the end they didn't adopt her through the official adoption office. and 9 years later, she married a German man. Two people decide to adopt two children, a boy and a girl, for a period of time.

"She lived with us for 10 years and the boy lived together for 3 years. They come from different families and now no longer live with us," Sandy said.

Sandy currently lives and works at the Swiss Consulate General in the city of Stuttgart, in the state of Baden-Wurttemberg, southwest Germany. "I have learned many different languages, but unfortunately I cannot learn Vietnamese. I have many difficulties with this language," Sandy said.

Although being deeply loved by Swiss adoptive parents and having a happy family of her own, Sandy has never stopped wanting to regain her Vietnamese roots. In 2014, Sandy brought hope to find relatives back to Vietnam.

"In 2014 I went to Saigon. I went to the people's courts, many hospitals, police offices, orphanages, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, television stations and posted advertisements on newspapers. , distributing leaflets to find relatives, "Sandy shared.

According to the information that Sandy has, her Vietnamese name is Duong Thi Buu Chau, born on June 26, 1974 in Thanh My Tay, Gia Dinh. However, Sandy did not know who found and brought her to her orphanage, so she could not be sure of the exact date of birth and birthplace. Sandy added that her adoptive parents also lost contact with her Swiss neighbor.

"A friend also took me to the area near the British Gymnasium orphanage, where there are still people from those years, but they couldn't give me any more information," Sandy said.

While returning to Ho Chi Minh City in 2014, Sandy also conducted an interview in the newspaper hoping to find relatives, but the results were not as expected.

"I did a TV interview on August 15, 2014. But I don't know if they'll ever see it," she said.

Although the information Sandy has in hand is very little and her efforts have not yielded the expected results for many years, Sandy shared that she still did not give up hope that one day, she could see again or know the information. news about my Vietnamese family.

"I learned that it was really difficult to find Vietnamese relatives in my situation, because there is almost no authentication information. Therefore, I expanded my search by posting a search. ' Anyone who knows about the baby or the person who lost a daughter, born between May and July 1974, could be born in Ho Chi Minh City or brought there before December 1974. Please contact chauhcmc14 @ gmail .com '", Sandy said.
