Siêu tàu sân bay Mỹ chở 70 máy bay đã tới nơi Trung Quốc quân sự hóa các đảo nhân tạo. Đây là siêu tàu sân bay thứ ba của mình trong năm nay để tuần tra biển Đông. Washington khẳng định Mỹ sẽ mạnh tay với Trung Quốc chứ hoàn toàn không lơ là.

Hãng tin AP hôm 26-6 xác nhận siêu tàu sân bay USS Ronald Reagan, tải trọng 97.000 tấn, chở theo hơn 70 máy bay đã neo đậu tại vịnh Manila sau hàng tuần lênh đênh trên biển Đông.

Đô đốc Marc Dalton cho biết sự hiện diện quân sự của Mỹ trong khu vực đã góp phần bảo vệ đất nước và các đồng minh của Washington, cũng như thúc đẩy tự do hàng hải, giúp thương mại không bị cản trở và ngăn chặn xung đột.

Trong khi đó, Úc đang lên kế hoạch bổ sung 6 máy bay không người lái (UAV) trị giá 7 tỉ USD có thể hoạt động hơn 1 ngày để săn ngầm và thực hiện các chuyến bay giám sát. Các máy bay do hải quân Mỹ hỗ trợ phát triển.

Khi kế hoạch hoàn tất, biển Đông được kỳ vọng trở thành mục tiêu chính cho các máy bay tầm xa, công nghệ cao này.

Với phạm vi hoạt động rộng, các UAV mới của Úc có khả năng bay tới Ấn Độ Dương và Thái Bình Dương để phát hiện tàu hải quân nước ngoài, hoạt động đánh bắt cá bất hợp pháp hoặc tàu buôn lậu người. Chúng cũng sẽ có thể tiếp cận xa hơn về phía Nam như Nam Cực. Thông tin được thu thập sẽ được cho Mỹ, Anh, Canada và New Zealand.

"Điều quan trọng đối với chúng tôi là phải biết ai đang hoạt động trong khu vực của chúng tôi nhằm phản ứng bất kỳ mối đe dọa nào nếu cần thiết" - Bộ trưởng Công nghiệp Quốc phòng Úc Christopher Pyne nói. Ông nhấn mạnh: "Úc luôn khẳng định quyền tự do đi lại ở biển Đông, cho dù đó là với tàu nổi hay máy bay".

Tuy nhiên, thượng nghị sĩ Peter Whish-Wilson đã đặt câu hỏi tới bộ trưởng quốc phòng Úc về việc chương trình máy bay Triton đội chi phí hơn 100% kể từ khi nó được công bố lần đầu tiên trong sách trắng quốc phòng của chính phủ vào năm 2016.

"Chỉ 2 năm trước, chính phủ nói rằng sẽ có 7 UAV với chi phí từ 3-4 tỉ USD. Nhưng 2 năm sau, chi phí là 7 tỉ USD cho 6 chiếc" - thượng nghị sĩ Whish-Wilson phát biểu trước Quốc hội.

Trong khi đó, Bộ trưởng Quốc phòng Marise Payne giải thích con số gần 7 tỉ USD bao gồm toàn bộ chi phí duy trì hoạt động cho các máy bay.

hahahah!! chắc therealrtz chơi tính thêm tiền cho em út uống beer ôm .. nên mới có giá trên 1 tỷ/chiếc máy bay không nguời "nái" .. nếu 1B tui mua luôn 2 chiếc F-35 lái cho đã .. hahahaha

Hahaha.. F-35 is a really super high tech fighter jet, bác hãy nái qua xứ VC và đậu trên cây để xem 4 con khỉ đầu đàn VC đang làm gì?. mà đặc biệt là em Kim Ngân đang chổng mông hay banh càng trên cây cho 3 con khỉ kia hưởng thụ ??? Hahaha...
