Shepard Smith makes shocking announcement that he is leaving Fox News

In a stunning announcement, Shepard Smith said on his Friday show that after more than two decades at Fox News, he was stepping down as chief news anchor, and leaving the network.

"This is my last newscast here," Smith said, adding that he was "eternally grateful" to Fox for the opportunities it has afforded him.
Smith, who joined the channel at its inception in 1996, said that he recently asked Fox to allow him to leave and begin a "new chapter" and that after management requested he stay, the network obliged. This is incredibly unusual in the cable news business, where long-term contracts lock in anchors for years at a time. Fox said that in the meantime, a rotating cast of anchors would fill the 3 p.m. time-slot.
Smith indicated that he has agreed to what is known as a "non-compete," a clause in a contract that ensures he won't immediately jump from one network to another.
"Under our agreement, I won't be reporting elsewhere, at least in the near feature," he said, indicating that he'll be able to spend more time with family now. "And then we'll see what comes along."
This means he will not be joining CNN, MSNBC or another network right away, despite rampant speculation in the news business that he might.

"Under our agreement, I won't be reporting elsewhere, at least in the near feature," he said, indicating that he'll be able to spend more time with family now. "And then we'll see what comes along."
This means he will not be joining CNN, MSNBC or another network right away, despite rampant speculation in the news business that he might.

President Donald Trump said in a tweet Friday that acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan is stepping down.

Trump in his tweet congratulated McAleenan on a “job well done” and said he would be announcing a new acting secretary next week. He added that there were “many wonderful candidates.”

“Kevin McAleenan has done an outstanding job as Acting Secretary of Homeland Security. We have worked well together with Border Crossings being way down. Kevin now, after many years in Government, wants to spend more time with his family and go to the private sector,” Trump tweeted.

Thật ra Fox News đang chấn chỉnh lại chủ trương sau khi Paul Ryan vào làm trong Board. Họ t́m đủ mọi cách chỉnh sử lại hầu gỡ gạc uy tín suy sụp trầm trọng của ĐCH do Trump khùng gây ra.... Nghĩ cho cùng: Fox News cũng chỉ nghĩ đến lợi nhuận 0 c̣n béo bở như xưa 2016 v́ một khi công chúng 0 c̣n tha thiết đến Trump xảo trá, lật lọng, điếm đàng, ma cạo, côn đồ vv... và vv... th́ Fox News cũng ch́m...xuồng theo mà thôi. Bọn này, cũng như Trump là chỉ nghĩ đến kim tiền ! Giờ dân chúng đuổi Trump khùng th́ họ cũng hùa theo mà đuổi nhưng 0 dám đập Trump khùng mà thôi, sĩ diện !

Gió chiều nào th́ xoay chiều ấy, có ǵ hay, nếu nói về lập trường và quan điểm chính trị của Fox News ! Gone With The Wind luôn Fox News cũng ok, miễn là chừa lại Fox Sports giùm Hai Lúa tui th́ vui, haha!
