Vừa qua một cựu Đại sứ Mỹ tại Ukraine phản đ̣n khiến Tổng thống Trump có nguy cơ bị phế truất. Nay lại thêm thông tin Lầu Năm Góc hợp tác điều tra luận tội Tổng thống Donald Trump.

Bộ trưởng Quốc pḥng Mỹ Mark Esper ngày 13/10 cho biết Lầu Năm Góc sẽ hợp tác với cuộc điều tra luận tội của Hạ viện do phe Dân chủ kiểm soát nhằm vào Tổng thống Mỹ Donald Trump.

Theo phóng viên TTXVN thường trú tại Washington D.C., trả lời phỏng vấn trên kênh truyền h́nh CBS News, ông Esper nhấn mạnh Bộ Quốc pḥng Mỹ sẽ nỗ lực tuân thủ cuộc điều tra do các hạ nghị sĩ Dân chủ khởi xướng nhằm t́m kiếm các tài liệu liên quan đến việc tŕ hoăn viện trợ quân sự của Mỹ cho Ukraine.

Cùng ngày, hăng tin Fox News dẫn lời ông Esper cho biết các quan chức chính quyền và Tổng thống Trump có thể đặt ra những hạn chế trong việc giao các tài liệu theo yêu cầu của Hạ viện.

Sự tái bảo đảm này của Bộ trưởng Esper được đưa ra chỉ vài ngày sau khi Nhà Trắng thông báo sẽ không hợp tác với Hạ viện trong cuộc điều tra luận tội Tổng thống Trump, khẳng định cuộc điều tra này là bất hợp pháp và vi hiến.

Trong khi đó, trên trang Twitter cá nhân, Tổng thống Donald Trump hôm 1/10 đă chỉ trích cuộc điều tra nhằm luận tội ông là "cuộc đảo chính".

Tuyên bố của Tổng thống Trump được đưa ra sau khi Ngoại trưởng Mỹ Mike Pompeo đă gây sức ép để ngăn chặn hoặc tŕ hoăn 5 quan chức và cựu quan chức Bộ Ngoại giao Mỹ ra điều trần trong cuộc điều tra về cáo buộc Tổng thống Trump lạm dụng chức quyền để yêu cầu chính phủ Ukraine tiến hành điều tra cựu Phó Tổng thống Joe Biden, ứng viên tổng thống đảng Dân chủ và được cho là đối thủ lớn của Trump trong cuộc chạy đua vào Nhà Trắng năm 2020.
