BEDMINSTER, New Jersey (NV) – Tổng Thống Donald Trump bỏ ngang họp báo vào Thứ Bảy, 8 Tháng Tám, sau khi bị phóng viên bắt bẻ về lời nói dối liên quan chương tŕnh y tế dành cho cựu chiến binh mà ông nói hơn 150 lần, theo CNN.

Trong buổi họp báo tại câu lạc bộ golf của ông ở Bedminster, New Jersey, Tổng Thống Trump lại tuyên bố chính ông là người chuẩn thuận chương tŕnh Veterans Choice.

“Suốt nhiều chục năm, họ t́m cách chuẩn thuận chương tŕnh đó, vậy mà không tổng thống nào làm được. Cuối cùng, chúng tôi làm.”

Thực ra, cựu Tổng Thống Barack Obama kư chương tŕnh Veterans Choice thành luật năm 2014. Luật này là sáng kiến của cả hai đảng, do hai thượng nghị sĩ từng bị ông Trump chỉ trích liên tục – ông Bernie Sanders (Dân Chủ – Vermont) và ông John McCain đă quá cố – dẫn đầu.

Theo luật này, nếu điều trị bên ngoài hệ thống bệnh viện dành cho cựu chiến binh (VA system), cựu chiến binh hội đủ điều kiện sẽ được chính phủ trả chi phí khám chữa bệnh.

Luật mà ông Trump kư là đạo luật VA Mission năm 2018, trong đó, điều chỉnh và mở rộng tiêu chuẩn được hưởng chương tŕnh Veterans Choice.

Tuy nhiên, Tổng Thống Trump cứ lặp đi lặp lại rằng ông là người kư chương tŕnh Veterans Choice – sau khi nhiều tổng thống khác không làm được suốt “50 năm.”

“Tại sao ông cứ tuyên bố ông chuẩn thuận Veterans Choice?” cô Paula Reid, phóng viên đài CBS News, hỏi ông Trump trong buổi họp báo hôm Thứ Bảy.

Trong lúc ông Trump cố gắng mời phóng viên khác đặt câu hỏi, cô Reid tiếp: “Ông nói ông chuẩn thuận Veterans Choice. Chương tŕnh này được chuẩn thuận năm 2014… Ông tuyên bố sai rồi, thưa ông.”

Tổng Thống Trump ngừng lại, rồi đáp: “OK. Cảm ơn tất cả quư vị rất nhiều.” Sau đó, ông bước khỏi nơi họp báo trong khi ca khúc “YMCA”nổi lên.

Trước cô Reid, ông Trump chưa từng bị hoặc hầu như chưa bao giờ bị bắt bẻ về tuyên bố Veterans Choice.

Ngày xưa nếu phát hiện ra tt nào nói dóc, kể như chuyện hiếm thấy.

Lâu lắm mới có người nói tới Autosuggestion như bạn. Vị bị cái "Tôi" quá lớn nên những người TỰ KỶ ÁM THỊ suy nghĩ và hành động như vậy

Nói dối quá nhiều sẽ không c̣n nhớ những ǵ ḿnh nói. Đôi khi tưởng là ḿnh đang nói thật v́ có quá nhiều người tin. Từ đó lại cho là bản thân thông minh, hiểu rộng. Đuổi luôn cả Tiến sĩ, Bác sĩ hay luật sư v́ họ không biết ǵ cả.
