Tổng thống Donald Trump cho biết hôm thứ Hai rằng ông và chính quyền của ông đă làm một “công việc phi thường” và xứng đáng với điểm “A +” để xử lư về đại dịch coronavirus, mặc dù thực tế rằng gần 200.000 người Mỹ đă chết v́ virus


Điều này lặp lại cách Trump trước đây đă trả lời các câu hỏi về việc xử lư vi rút của ông. Cho đến nay, Hoa Kỳ có nhiều trường hợp nhiễm coronavirus nhất (6,8 triệu) và tử vong (199.517) so với bất kỳ quốc gia nào trên thế giới. Các chuyên gia y tế công nhận vi rút vẫn chưa được kiểm soát, với trung b́nh cả nước có hơn 40.000 ca mắc và 1.000 ca tử vong mỗi ngày. Và với mùa đông bắt đầu lan rộng, lo ngại về mùa lạnh và cúm làm gia tăng vấn đề coronavirus. Việc nói về vắc-xin đang tràn lan nhưng có rất ít kỳ vọng rằng khả năng miễn dịch của bầy đàn – khoảng 60-70% công chúng có kháng thể Covid-19 – sẽ xảy ra trong nhiều tháng tới.

Nói một cách rơ ràng là không có bằng chứng nào cho thấy Hoa Kỳ đang “làm tṛn” xử lư vi-rút như Trump nói.
