Vai diễn nhận nhiều lời khen từ giới phê bình quốc tế. Các đồng nghiệp như Alexander Skarsgård, Rebecca Hall cũng đánh giá cao sự tự tin, chuyên nghiệp và tài năng diễn xuất của cô bé.

Đạo diễn sử dụng đèn laze, băng dính để hướng dẫn những điểm cần nhìn vào".

Her parents died after the attack of Skullcrawlers. She was born with hearing loss and communicated using sign language. Kong considers Jia as a close friend and always tries to protect her. Jia is also the only person who can communicate with the gorilla in the movie. The role received many compliments from international critics. Colleagues like Alexander Skarsgård and Rebecca Hall also appreciated her confidence, professionalism and acting talent.

"For this role, I feel like I live true to myself. I don't study acting. Because I'm deaf, I often have to use sign language and facial expressions. That helps me when I am filming." Working on set with other colleagues also helped me learn a lot, "Hottle said.
