Do Rivera đang livestream trên Instagram nên rất nhiều dân mạng đã chứng kiến khoảnh khắc kinh hoàng khi nam rapper bị kẻ sát nhân nã súng vào mặt.

“Video của Indian Red Boy thật khủng khiếp. Mấy phút trước, anh ấy còn đang cười, phút sau đã thoi thóp cầu xin sự giúp đỡ”, một bình luận trên Twitter.

Trung úy Ti Goetz của sở cảnh sát Hawthorne cho biết, lực lượng chức năng được huy động đến khu nhà 14100 của Đại lộ Chadron vào khoảng 16h10 cùng ngày (giờ địa phương). Nạn nhân tử vong tại hiện trường.

Theo ông Goetz, vụ nổ súng nhiều khả năng có chủ đích, được thực hiện ở cự li gần và Rivera “có vẻ như là thành viên một băng đảng”. Hiện, nhà chức trách vẫn đang tìm kiếm các nghi phạm.

Lieutenant Ti Goetz of Hawthorne Police Department said that functional forces were mobilized to the 14100 block of Chadron Avenue at about 4:10 pm on the same day (local time). The victim died at the scene.

According to Goetz, the shooting was most likely intentional, carried out at close range, and Rivera "appears to be a member of a gang". Authorities are still searching for the suspects.

Local media reported that the windshield of the victim's car had many bullet holes. According to an unconfirmed source, Rivera is a member of the Bloods, a notorious street gang in Los Angeles.

On Instagram, many people left their condolences for the sudden passing of the 21-year-old rapper. A friend who was with the victim at the time of the shooting also posted a video of Rivera and a photo of the two together, with the caption: "I love you."
