VBF-Một tin nghe rất lạ nhưng có thật là lính VNCH được khám bệnh ở Việt Nam. Tổng cộng có 100 thương phế binh được khám sức khỏe. Đa phần họ đều ở các tỉnh lân cận Sài G̣n.

SÀI G̉N - Như vẫn được tổ chức vài lần mỗi năm, nhóm Công Lư và Ḥa B́nh Ḍng Chúa Cứu Thế đă có buổi tầm soát sức khỏe đợt đầu tiên của năm 2017 tại văn pḥng ở Sài G̣n vào sáng thứ Hai, 24 tháng Tư.
Theo tin của Tin Mừng Cho Người Nghèo, có tới 111 người thương phế binh VNCH từ các tỉnh thành như Bến Tre, Vĩnh Long, Vũng Tàu, B́nh Dương, Sài G̣n, Quảng Nam đă đến để được chăm sóc sức khỏe.
Kết quả có chín ông bị cụt chân được đưa đi làm chân giả, 17 người cần trợ giúp mua bảo hiểm y tế, chín người được cấp xe lắc, bốn người được cấp xe lăn, 16 người được nhận máy đo huyết áp, chín người được tặng cặp nạng, 21 người được gậy, và 76 người được cặp kiếng mới. Ngoài ra, mỗi ông thương phế binh được tặng thêm 500,000 đồng VN (gần $22 Mỹ kim) tiền lộ phí.
Bản tin cho biết vào ngày Chủ Nhật có ba ông thương phế binh sống ở các tỉnh Miền Tây xa xôi, đi từ sáng sớm lên Sài G̣n, để kịp tham dự buổi tầm soát sức khỏe ngày thứ Hai. Ba người này được nhân viên văn pḥng giúp có chỗ ngủ qua đêm
Trong các đợt tầm soát sức khỏe luôn có sự hiện diện của quư cha thuộc văn pḥng Công Lư và Ḥa B́nh. Hôm thứ Hai có cha Antôn Lê Ngọc Thanh, cha Phaolô Lê Xuân Lộc, cha Giuse Trương Hoàng Vũ, và cha Vinhsơn Phạm Trung Thành.
