Một báo cáo mới cho biết, cựu Tổng thống Donald Trump có thể bị buộc tội nhiều tội danh v́ can thiệp bầu cử ở Georgia.

Báo cáo của Viện Brookings , một tổ chức tư vấn hàng đầu ở Washington DC, phân tích các bằng chứng công khai cho thấy Trump và các đồng minh đă cố gắng gây áp lực với các viên chức Georgia để “thay đổi kết quả hợp pháp của cuộc bầu cử.”

Một bằng chứng quan trọng là cuộc gọi nổi tiếng hiện nay của Trump được thực hiện vào ngày 3 tháng 1 cho Thư kư bang Đảng Cộng ḥa của Georgia, Brad Raffensperger. Trump yêu cầu Brad Raffensperger “t́m 11.780 phiếu bầu” để lật đổ chiến thắng của Biden.

Bản báo cáo cho biết thêm rằng Trump đă công khai gây áp lực và liên hệ cá nhân với một số viên chức khác ở Georgia để yêu cầu họ giúp ông lật lại kết quả bầu cử của bang

Những viên chức đó bao gồm Thống đốc Brian Kemp và Tổng trưởng lư Chris Carr, người mà Trump được cho là đă gọi điện trực tiếp vào tháng 12 để thúc giục họ thực hiện “kế hoạch ngày càng tuyệt vọng của ông ấy”

Báo cáo nói thêm rằng trách nhiệm h́nh sự có thể mở rộng đối với một số đồng minh của Trump, bao gồm cả luật sư riêng của ông Rudy Giuliani.

Giuliani xuất hiện trước các ủy ban ở Georgia Capitol với mục đích thuyết phục các nhà lập pháp tiểu bang “hành động bất thường để đảo ngược chiến thắng của Biden”, báo cáo lưu ư.

Vào tháng 2, văn pḥng của Raffensperger đă mở một cuộc điều tra về những nỗ lực của Trump nhằm lật ngược t́nh trạng thua cuộc của ông trong bang.

Công tố viên Quận Fulton Fani Willis cũng đă mở một cuộc điều tra h́nh sự về hành vi của Trump liên quan đến cuộc bầu cử.

Báo cáo của Viện Brookings phân tích các cuộc điều tra này và gợi ư những tội danh mà Trump có thể bị buộc tội và các biện pháp bảo vệ pháp lư của ông.

Báo cáo cho thấy Trump có khả năng sẽ yêu cầu quyền miễn trừ, cho rằng ông không thể bị truy tố v́ những hành động được thực hiện khi c̣n là tổng thống.

Theo báo cáo, các cựu tổng thống được hưởng một biện pháp miễn trừ đối với các hành động được thực hiện “nằm trong phạm vi nhiệm vụ hợp pháp của họ với tư cách là viên chức liên bang”.

Tuy nhiên, trong trường hợp này, hành động của Trump “nằm ngoài phạm vi nhiệm vụ chính thức của ông ấy”, báo cáo viết.

Trump và các đồng minh của ông đă tiếp tục thúc đẩy những tuyên bố vô căn cứ rằng cuộc bầu cử năm 2020 là gian lận.

Cựu tổng thống hiện đang phải đối mặt với một số cuộc điều tra h́nh sự về hành vi của ông khi c̣n đương nhiệm, cũng như tài chính cá nhân của ông.
